*husband's account.* I have to say I use to be afraid of the Haka. The religion I was taught made me believe that the power and the faces were not good. Now however I have opened my spirit and allowed myself to watch and listen with an open heart! The power, the love for this couple WOW 😱♥️♥️♥️😭😭😭

There is a poem in arabic in which it says "choose your woman carefully because there will come a day when she will be your only army". This woman on the other end of the world from me and her husband reminded me by the way they stood and danced next to each other of this poem. God bless them all the way from Morocco.

Matalena Aleni - Please do not take any of the negative comments made regarding your son’s wedding to heart. Most of the negative comments are made by the young children & young adults who live for social media and are using all social media’s as a form of “safe bulling” of others. The reasons for their actions are as many as they are and is extremely disheartening. Your son and daughter-in-law’s wedding was beautiful and memorable and filled with love from all who attended. Your love and admiration for your son is quite evident. Congratulations for raising a fine and honorable young man! I’m sure the majority of us who were invited to watch and share in the celebration of this marriage wish many, many blessings and happiness to the newly married couple and their family & friends.

Past few years i've fallen in love with the Maori culture. Question tho if anyone can answer. Are there traditional haka's for weddings and other events? I know the Haka is used for many things from farewells to respect to show of power. But is the chant usually the same for each event? Thanks

John Russell exactly ivypu didn't know already but a haka tells you more then you think if your from new Zealand you belong to a tribe ànd your tribe has its ancestors our ancestors. They passed down the haka through the tribes which we share to the world now you can create a haka as well but I warn anyone don't put half effort into it put your all make sure your haka has a meaning that's true. your actions have to repersent your words and you must remain composed fierce ànd strong its rare for a haka to be created and remembered in this time of age.

John Russell what i know about a wedding haka is, that the group of men challenge the groom for protecting his future wife, and his response back towards the group is that he will except the challenge and he will love and honor her.

There are different hakas for different occasions. This particular haka is used for celebrations and the chant tells of a father witnessing his son turning into a man and seems to be struggling but that the answers are inside of him.
