The wedding between Albert II, Prince of Monaco, and Charlene Wittstock took place in Monaco. On 1 and 2 July 2011.
It has been described as Monaco's "biggest party in 55 years" since the wedding of Albert's father, Rainier III to Grace Kelly. Prince Albert and Wittstock first met in 2000 at a swimming competition in Monaco in which she was participating. They announced their engagement on 23 June 2010.

I remember watching the royal wedding in South Africa vividly when I was 9 years old. South Africans had no escape from it because it was broadcasted on one of our main networks as Charlene is South African and we were happy for her and wanted to see the moment when a South African becomes a princess. I come back once in a while to relive the fond moments. Happiness for both Charlene and Albert and their beautiful twins!

Beautiful song, expresses the perfect sentiment. The bride looks radiant and happy! The most beautiful royal wedding dress I've seen in years, far better than Kate's. Princess Charlene looked effortlessly glamourous! considering she said herself in an interview with TODAY that she WAS NOT a runaway bride, your comment is invalid. That was a rumor. The Press just caught her at the airport leaving for Paris with her mother for a day of shopping & girl time. The thing about her passport can be explained too: She was carrying 2 at the time: 1 valid for South Africa, & 1 invalid prior to the wedding for Monaco, in a moment of lapse judgement, or perhaps distraction, she handed the security guard her invalid one.
