I saw a glimpse of one which I would have tried. It had a full skirt, which I don't really care for, but there was something different about it .

I think she was there to show off for the cameras. She may have thought thought she could drum up new business with free advertising by appearing on _SYTTD._ The camera loves her face, except for those 80s-style swashes of too-emphatic blush. She wanted to highlight her admittedly gorgeous cheekbones, but wound up looking garish. She did an admirable job of maximizing her camera time, but she was so intrusive and confused the appointment so badly, she completely defeated her own purpose. It's sad. And stupid. But then, stupidity results in sadness so often.

The staff was much nicer to that wedding planner than I would have been. She ignored what the bride said she wanted, was rude to the staff and acted as though there were no rules for her. She complained about 'all of a sudden you only have 20 minutes'. they were there for 3 hours!! Someone should have reminded her that she wasted everyone's time by suggesting unrealistic dresses with massive changes.

Considering how well this wedding planner is listening to the bride regarding what she wants in a dress, I'm a little concerned how the actual wedding is going to pan out!!! Hysterical that the wedding planner claims it's hard to know what "the dress" and blames the bride's confusion on the entourage, the store closing, (because they'd already been there for THREE HOURS), the fact that people needed to do their job by taking inventory, and the cameras that she was clearly playing to!!

3 hours and didn’t buy a dress? This is why I advocate for Kleinfeld’s to charge for per hour for their appointments. If you buy the dress, it’s subtracted from the purchase. This would curtail appointments like this that just waste the consultant’s time. The consultant was so gracious.

After a three-hour appointment, the bride was no further along in her decision than when she walked through the door at the beginning of the appointment. On the one hand I understand that some people want to customise a dress as there's little things they want changing, but the feeling of trying on dress after dress and then finding the 'one' is amazing. I clocked my wedding dress as soon as I walked into the store I bought it from. I told nobody and let everyone have some input. I then tried on the one I knew was for me and everyone else wasn't keen when it was on the hanger, but as soon as I got it on they knew it was right as well. I let everyone think they were 'helping' me, but I wouldn't have been railroaded even if they hated the dress I loved.

I think no more than 4 people should be allowed to attend an appointment with the bride. Too many opinions is just stressful and unnecessary. If I was the consultant or manager, I would have told the family to sit down and stop pulling dresses. That should never be allowed. You have a consultant for a reason. You want to pull dresses yourself, then go to a smaller hometown type boutique where you don't get personalized attention. That bride should be embarrassed and upset.

Appointments are timed, you don’t get to go in and just try on unlimited dresses until you find the one, there is another bride waiting for the next appointment, you were very fortunate that you were the last for the day and they stayed late for you. From the get go let the consultant select the first round, they go off of what you say. That dress the planner was saying they can cut some off and redo it was hideous! Not all designers are willing to make changes and for those that do it’s a hefty price to make changes. That planner was a nightmare, Kleinfelds should have told her to stay in her lane, she doesn’t have the run of the store.

I would threaten to fire that wedding planner if she takes over the wedding dress appointment and does not know her place. It's the bride's and their family time to find a dress while the wedding planner takes care of the decor, etc. If I were a wedding planner, I would kindly turn down an invite to go dress shopping and let the bride have her moments with family and friends while I'll be working, making sure all the vendors will be there etc.
