You said is your first time wedding job, I can tell you You really handle very well, during the shooting you use only one lens 85mm and for the group shot you have to backup all the way in order to get everyone on the shot. how about using 24-70mm 2.8?

Hey Mike thx for the rapid response and solving my c-stand dilemma. Since you do shoot with the sony A7II I was wondering if you could do a video on the A7II and the MC-11 adapter and the Canon?Sigma lenses that work with it....You have already shown that it works with the Canon 200mm 2.8 (which is a fantastic lens) But I was wondering what other lenses work well with that combination....just saying :-)

Michael Smith thanks for the reply I appreciate your time! so... 2 questions for you, 1) Do you shoot wedding in Raw or Jpeg. I ask this question because I know that editing can be a bear. I have heard of some photographers shooting the formal portraits Etc in raw but the candid wedding reception images etcetera in jpeg due to editing time as well as turnaround time to the client. Thoughts?? 2) I primarily shoot landscape images and do a little bit of natural light portrait work and heard you mention in one of your other videos that you exposed to the background first. I have seen multiple videos on this and I believe it has to do with exposure compensation. I have tried that method with my landscape photography and didn't really see a benefit but perhaps with this type of portraiture I may need to revisit that technique. Is there a video that you could either share with me that goes deeper into that method or a Blog Etc, I would really like to get a good understanding of that process? I am asking because I ordered the flashpoint 600 TTL model which arrives at my doorstep hopefully this Friday and based on the images you took on this video I will be pleased with the results! Thanks in advance!

Hey, thanks for your reply, all good, just an observation, based on something I learnt. I was drawn into that Top Model program a while back and these guys really know their stuff. It was a show down with the last contestants somewhere in Italy, maybe Florence or Milan. The photographer was a mature Italian woman who was so good. The girls were all gorgeous, and the photos were all magic, but one girl had to be eliminated. She was a stunning blond dressed in either Gucci or D&G, like clothes to die for. The shot was stunning, setting sun flare, some canal and Renaissance building beautifully out of focus in the background. But she got eliminated because of the star fish hand!. OK so when you are posing you have got to make sure the hands are right, and that simple thing can make or break the shot. So there are nice shapes for the hands but the star fish look is not. Watch those hands. Have a look at the Renaissance artists like da Vinci and see how he portrayed hands.
