My wedding in 1998 looked very similar to this one, I should post it! Too many brides today look too bare for church, in strapless and backless gowns. It’s supposed to be a holy day, not a sexy day. But many brides today also still get it right, and look lovely.

What beautiful footage.. lovely bride and bridesmaids . Today’s weddings cost a fortune but pale in comparison to these lovely, simple ones. The Wedding gowns now are more than the lovely weddings from this era! Everything now is a ‘Theme’ - all focused on who can come up with something ‘Different’ ! It’s so sad that many of them don’t even last beyond a couple of years.

Thankyou for your comments. I think it does capture the feel of the 1960's. Home movies are remarkably evocative, and the older they are the more precious they become to those involved.

I still think those weddings were much prettier. Loved the lacy dresses and the big veils with sweet little headpieces to hold them onto your head. Weddings are not even interesting these days.

Hi ! I am writing to you from Grand Angle Productions, a production company based in France who is presently producing a documentary on the nullity of the marriage. The film will be aired on KTO, the French Catholic channel. It will aim at informing about is the nullity of a marriage. For this documentary I’m looking for old wedding footages. These wedding pictures would allow us to illustrate the words of an ecclesiastical judge who will speak to us about the history of marriage in the Bible, the sacrament of marriage in the church, the meaning of the exchange of consents, the pillars of marriage and how a marriage can be invalid. The images we will use will not be used to say that the marriage of these people is invalid, they will only allow us to illustrate the above-mentioned statements as well as to see the different stages of a marriage such as the arrival of the bride at the church as well as the exit of the couple in front of the church. Moreover, our documentary does not speak about the end of a marriage but about the fact that a marriage can be considered null and void if the spouses did not respect the conditions of formation of the marriage. This part of the documentary will be illustrated by testimonies of people who experienced the nullity of their marriage So, I am contacting you to ask for permission to use it. If you cannot grant it, would you kindly let me know who I should contact to grant such an authorization?

Hi, Im a film student currently working on a small project and looking for wedding footage. Would it be possible to use some clips of your video? :)
@Andrew.J.Macaulay8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your interest. Please do use the footage. If you would like some more background information please get in touch - info at mentalhealthtv.co.uk. It is possible to provide you with an ident free copy, depending on what you want to do with it. Look forward to hearing from you.
@ZOZOMAGOD8 жыл бұрын
Thats great, thanks so much. The film itself is experimental so the ident is no problem as I'm using snippets of close up wedding footage very briefly. I will make sure to credit the footage and if you want I would be more than happy to send over a link once it is finished :). Thanks again!

good luck with your course. Depending on what you want I think some of the other examples are better technical quality, either because of the condition of the 8mm film or the exposure. Anyway enjoy. All the best.
