Hi Adam sorry what’s the strap tool you’re using for the mics Sony mics? I use tape I find them difficult to work with so an alternative will make a huge difference for me thanks for your amazing work

I just use electrical tape to tape them on.

55mm super stable? I didn't think the Sony 55mm had any built in stabilisation. Or do you just mean because the wider focal length it is inherently more stable than an 85mm that you're used to?
@AdamWingFilms5 жыл бұрын
Yeah the difference in focal length makes the 55 seem way more stable than the 85. works really well.

Great content Adam and amazing work as always. Quick question if I may. You mention you shoot at F1.8 most of the time and auto ISO and expose the shot by adjusting the shutter speed. Out of interest, what shutter speed are you usually using for example indoors then outside? Like are you up in the thousands outside? Hope that makes sense what I’m asking lol
@AdamWingFilms3 жыл бұрын
Manual iso mostly but yeah for everything else! The shutter speed typically would be 1/100 indoors and then I’ll expose up with iso, outdoors on a nice day it tends to be minimum iso, and up to 1/8000 shutter speed
@ECorpuz085 жыл бұрын
What f-stop are you shooting at mostly with the 55? Do you use ND filters and stick with the appropriate shutter speed?
@AdamWingFilms5 жыл бұрын
f1.8 all the time. Rarely changes. I dont use ND filters and so just change the shutter speed to expose my shot. 👍

Not that I can think of (never so it’s been an issue at least). Always tell the photographer it’s there in advance, and I’m normally at the back with it these days at some point anyway.

Hey Adam I stumbled across your channel during the Qurantine, first of all I hope you are well and keeping safe! I'm actually based in West Yorkshire and getting back into filming weddings again. Great BTS this, I just have one question for you in regards to your audio. Why not use something like a Zoom H1N or H4Pro and connect that using XLR out to the DJ's setup and that way you are plugged directly into the mic setup for the ceremony. Then you can use your Sony recorder on the efficient, groom etc....
@AdamWingFilms4 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks bro. Hope you are good also! I don’t use anything other than the sony’s, it’s just easier and less to think about!

Brilliant stuff as usual man! Couple of questions if you don't mind answering! 1. Were you thrown in at the deep end with your first ever Jewish wedding? Or did the bride and groom explain what the ceremonies consisted of before hand? 2. Is there always 2 ceremonies for a Jewish wedding? 3. The manfrotto monopod linked in your kit is the same one as I currently have, which is waaaay bulkier, more clunky, and has a fatter grip than the one you use in this video. Could you possibly find a link to the one you're using? Or do you think it might be out of production and the one youve linked is the closest to it? Cheers in advance pal. Really appreciate you making these videos!
@AdamWingFilms5 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. I second shot my first one so no major responsibility but learnt a lot. I’d just ask for a break down of everything and get on google also. This was a fusion wedding of Jewish and white wedding, so hence the 2 ceremonies, not always like that. A full Jewish wedding would just have one ceremony typically, but also have other elements throughout the day. As for the monopod, you’re right. The one I use is out of production so the one linked is the closest alternative, a bit bulkier but does have locked off feet so you can balance it more confidently. 👍👍

Hey Adam, thanks for posting these BTS videos. I was curious how close the tripod is to the bride and groom when shooting with a 24mm lens? (it seems like when you originally set it up it was far away, but when the shot is framed, it looks close.) Cheers !

It is quite far back. I sometimes crop the sensor with apsc if the frame looks better but I don’t think I did in this instance
