Hi Jenni, the seal you highlighted in your video is one that we've been monitoring locally since 2022, it is actually bald! It's a rare occurence and I can't say what may have caused it, could be a severe case of alopecia or a fault with it's moulting mechanism. I've been assured by experts from Cornwall that it can still function well enough but might just be more succeptible to cuts, grazes and scratches from other seals.
