Damn, seals are TOO EASY TO CATCH FOR THEIR OWN GOOD. On land that is, in the water you can forget about chasing one haha. But if there were some bad actors that were hunting for seals you don't need anything besides boat and a net, that's sad. Hopefully seal meat sucks but I guess not since they eat seals in Japan, South Korea, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Indigenous people of US (ONLY THEY CAN HUNT SEALS FOR MEAT), Canada, Greenland; the Chukchi people of Siberia, and the Bequia Island in the Caribbean Sea. BUT with the decline of their natural predators their population is unsustainably large, it would be even more morally and ethically correct to eat seals than meat that costs our planet A LOT. From what I read their meat is *sea meets pasture* which is hard sell for most people, especially knowing that it's seal meat.

@@daniellamcgee4251 I can’t speak for any other fishing form than beam gear, as that’s what I spent my nearly whole career doing. But I can say that if I got hung up on the sea bed with one of the two nets I towed, I would spend, and have spent hours getting back what amounts to many thousands of £’s worth of gear. I have even had to let my whole warps go, with a buoy on the end for recovery, and come back the next day or after the repairs and retrieve my nets. We don’t see many (if any) snared seals in The Wash. (North Norfolk) But we do see, and I have myself found pups that have lost their mothers after bad weather sweeps them away. This is why this channel grabs my attention and pulls on my heart strings cos I have saved 3 pups. Buzz, Lucky & Luke, all named after the boats I was working on at the time, the Buzzard & the Lucky Luke. I don’t care how much of a hardened sailor some say they’re. They would find it hard to not get chocked up when u have a starving pup in your lap, sucking on your finger for all it’s worth, while u are steaming the boat home. It’s a magical feeling I can assure u of that 🥲✌️🇬🇧

@@MiltonRoe Well that’s a LITTLE BIT DIFFICULT. See for tea I have some freshly caught and cooked cockles with freshly peeled shrimps (by me) in a sea food salad, dash of lemon, dash of vinegar. See as I’m a 4th generation commercial fisherman by trade (only sadly retired) I get brought lobsters, crabs, prawns, shrimps, cockles & mussels (alive alive Ho 🎶) whelks and fish of many different species. Thought I do tend to go for the red gurnard yummmmm. Yes I have lost parts of my nets at sea on many different bottom snares. BUT I have also spent countless hours on getting my gear back. Cos unlike these huge mega trawlers, we can’t afford to lose £20,000 in net alone. That’s without the ground gear. We never open the wheelhouse door and dump our rubbish into the sea, we bring it home and dump it into the bins provided. OK you’re a vegan and therefore extreme in your views, but for the love of Pete, don’t try and force your narrow mindedness onto others. I’d say the odds are more than 4 seals were eaten by predators that day. Seems reckless to me. If they rescued the little guys struggle in the water and affected not 1 seals on the beach. They did a good job. But did you see what they did to the hearts of seals. They all mindlessly jumped right back into the water. Those seals saw them as the predator. Forgot what’s in the water and jumped right in. Geez, people everyday get in those waters, not deep and get tore up by predators. Imagine the smorgasbord that just happened. Have a good night.

What these humans are doing makes my heart expand with hope for this world. This is a true attempt at redemption on their part, for the hell and destruction our species has released on other innocent creatures

So niedlich, vor allem die Kleinen. Und wenn ich so etwas sehe, wie die Rettung des letzten kleinen Burschen, macht es besonders Freude.

How I love it when puppies want to stay with you! Even if they want to get their bearings, I still think they're happy after the entanglement is removed.

These are real environmentalists, not lunatics appearing on Lunch TV, sticking to the asphalt and destroying art. Bravo gentlemen, real heroes. It also blows my mind how defenseless they are on the beach when faced with a human.
@DontKnowDontCare6.93 ай бұрын
Those lunatics are actually psy ops to make you suspicious/untrusting of the real activists and environmentalists. For whats to come.

But if politics doesn't change the way things are done, their work is all for nothing... Everyone should appreciate their effort, but there are too many people that just ignore the real problems that causes even bigger issues...

Thank you for your kind words! Our efforts are just a drop in the bucket compared to the millions of tonnes of trash entering the world's oceans every year. We are unfortunately not solving the problem, but only treating the symptoms of the plastic crisis with our rescues. These videos aim to show the consequences of this pollution and create a change to tackle its roots - namely our addiction to single-use plastics, the lack of law enforcement at sea, and the shortcomings of the recycling industry.

I am so grateful that you guys ate out there rescuing these seals, some of the wounds they have are horrific. I wish people would stop treating the oceans and the planet like a rubbish bin. Once again thank you
