Wednesday: Finding The Patsy Cline Crash Site | March 6th, 1963

It was a Wednesday (yes, I spelled it wrong in the video which is ridiculous because it’s my dogs name…*facepalm*) morning when the first person laid eyes on the wreckage that claimed the lives of Patsy Cline, Hawkshaw Hawkins, Cowboy Copas & Randy Hughes. I've spent months researching this plane crash, trying to find more, or talk to someone who went out to the location that day, but it seems most of these folks have gone with time. The best information and images I can find of the crash come from two sources mainly... Jerry Pfifer and The Nashville Tennessean photojournalists who were there.
The purpose of this video is to correct the misconception set forth in the movie "Sweet Dreams", piece together all the information into one story, and narrate the tale from the day they found the Princess of Country Music and her contemporaries in a forest of Camden, Tennessee.

Thank you so much for this! I remember where they briefly interviewed Odle while they were having a ceremony for the giant stone being placed at the crash site. He said "worst thing I ever seen, and I've seen some bad ones I thought. twisted metal, body parts"

Well... . I must confess that was a disheartening way to start my Tuesday morning. I misread the title to this video, all I saw this morning was the notification for a new video from the "Appalachian Son" what a graphic description of the accident scene. I've seen my share of horrible and strange things due to my chosen profession however those descriptions painted a pretty good picture. Anyway young man that was a fantastic job! I always look forward to your new videos.
