I think its because when using light theme, the thumbnail looks like aatrox takes up more space as irelias splash art goes smoothly into the bright theme, for dark theme its the opposite happebing, maybe justicar aatrox would have solved the """problem""" but idk :D

Personaly I never take D-shield on Aatrox, since you weaken your early game for no reason and I like to take attack speed shard for easier last hits and smoother combos. One tip I have for Irelia match up - Always look at low hp minions. There's very high chance she will Q them and if she does, then you slap her with your own Q. Also don't let her stack her Passive for free. If you let her she will just control whole lane and you can't do anything.

if you're confident, go for it. i've seen Xiaoming go Dblade into tanks and other bruisers, but keep in mind Aatrox has one of the weakest base regens in the game and Dblade gives you an extra source of sustain on top of your already conditional sustain.

How is that amalgamation balanced in any way? insane outplay potential, hypermobile, insane dps, insane burst, insane teamfight potential, lanebully, scales well. LITERALLY the way you beat them is stay back and hope they will get themselves killed by doing stupid things.

You could make 90% of champs in the game sound broken with that type of description. E.g. How is alistar balanced? Insane tankiness, crazy level 2 all in, insane engage, insane cc, insane peel - you get where im going with this. Shes not performing exceptionally right now, hash knows it too despite despising the arguably toxic kit design. Theres also plenty of picks which can go toe to toe with her early game then outscale her because cope aside shes really not the best scaling bruiser/top laner. Even at a low-mid diamond level the irelia aatrox matchup is perfectly winnable from the aatrox side. As someones whos been forced to first pick him or darius most of this season ive come across plenty of irelias.

@@TKO9871 She's not performing exceptionally well because people keep going into a game as Irelia thinking the enemy will walk into them at three passive stacks and fight level 1. She's virtually a cheese pick. Outside of laning and trying to permadash, not many people can play midgame if Irelia goes even or even behind. I liked her old straightforward design better tbh.

@@Geheimnis-c2e you cant just blame a hypothetical mindset for a champions lack of performance. That isnt a good basis for an argument. Maybe this mindsets adopted by low elo irelia players? But i really dont care about/refer to low elo when talking about champ balance. Fyi i dont think shes weak at all right now, i think shes perfectly balanced. I dont really have a problem with the champ right now and if the opposing player is just better ill lose, not a big deal. There are definitely worse stuff to come against.

@@TKO9871 The biggest problem I have with the game right now is mobility. Some champions, especially the newer ones has to have a stupid amount of mobility. You can't chase, run away, engage, disengage or land skillshots on them. It's like trying to hit a mosquito flying all around you. Combining that amount of mobility with very high burst and dps is very stupid imo. It's so unfun to play against especially if you're an immobile champion. Positioning and some other stuff do definitely help but still, having to be afraid of them even from a huge range is not fun at all.
