Congratulations on your 50 years of gardening. It’s our 50th wedding anniversary this year. John you are so funny looking up into the sky as jets fly over and saying “maybe we can charge them!”

As always thank you for these videos. They are informative and inspiring. I am currently waiting on extensive epigastric hernia surgeries and in pain and haven't been able to garden a lot this spring and summer. Watching these gives me some hope.

I have not warched you in ages. More fool me. I love watching you and you motivate me in doing jobs around my garden. I am starting a new bed after taking out a fence of Laurel. Took some doing.😂. And planting it up with plant i potted up as cuttings or diving. Until the bed was ready. So there is that to do. The other is my other bed was being take over by buttercup runner's which is full of different type of geraniums so it really hard to tell the difference between them if not in flower. And marked when the geranium flowered with a white maker stick the only trouble is the the sneak right next to the geranium plant. Lucky though they are in flower the ones I mist i can now dig out and like you siad i will keep on top of these buttercup weeds. Thank you.❤❤❤💐

You would be horrified by our garden, here in rural Lincolnshire, as it was neglected for many years, and although it's peaceful and secluded, it's also a hotbed of perennial weeds, like ground elder (bishop's weed), green alkanet, bindweed and strangling purple fescue, which I've just made up. I can't dig most of these out, as their roots are deeply entangled in long established trees and shrubs, so I just do the best I can. I can only marvel at your wonderful garden.

Good timing for me John……I had 2 persicaria polymorpha plants; removed one last year but, on impulse watching your video, I shot out and dug out the second plant. Yes, thick rhizomes etc., but cleared it all. Both plants were planted 3 years ago and I was concerned how they would take over in a few more years. So thanks for that reminder. Another highly enjoyable video John

Hello from New York State where our soil currently looks like cocoa powder! Yes 100% about the weeds! In my last house I grew Fallopia japonica Variegata, and it was a really nice and pretty plant. The red shoots in Spring were wild looking, the foliage was gorgeous, and the flowers were pretty and smelled very nice. Little did I know it was the evil Japanese Knotweed! But I think because it was variegated it was lacking the vigor of the evil kind. I really enjoy every aspect of your videos and I thank you for taking the time (and David too!)

I've been learning tons since finding your videos. One thing it seems everyone says to do is to loosen the roots/soil after removing a pot from a plant, but I never see you do it. What's the thoughts on this?
