My dad was from Redmond Square Tipperary John, 🇮🇪 he was born in 1929 when times were hard and his mum, my Granny Byrnes sent him on his way across the water to find work at 14 years old 🇬🇧 I tell my friends Iv never been over to the Emerald Isle in body, but I do go via the World Wide Web to John Lords garden every few weeks…..Thanks for all your uploads, they are a breathe of fresh air to each and every one of us….I didn’t even know what a sanguisorba, eupatorrium or Cornus kousa China girl or satomi was before I found your Chanel, I now have all of them so thanks very much John……🙏 Kim 🙏

John you scare me when you pick up your pick axe, amazingly you certainly accomplished what you set out to do. Energized, Humour intact, and plant knowledge makes for a great garden video. Thanks for making my Sunday morning. 👍❤️😊

I love my Inula hookerii. Fortunately, it grows really well, and you'll never be without it for replanting around the garden and giving plants away. I've a little bet with myself that you'll be moving it from its current position in the not too distant future, John. I found your channel a few months ago and have now watched every episode. Thank you. I've learnt a lot and look forward to visiting your fantastic garden.

Oh oh John I do wrap up my upright skyrocket juniper because if I didn’t it would be flat on the ground from snow and ice. It happened last winter and it took all summer to get them back close to what they were before. I use fishing line and just go around twice. You can’t see it unless you go right up to it and it’s not tightly bound.

What Penstemon is the 2 you planted called “Evelyn”. Every Penstemon in my garden has the ovate leaves of some substance, and look nothing like yours. My Aconitum is all budded up now mid September. The Sangisorba that I have grow about 7 feet tall and have deep red flowers in clouds at the top. Do the 3 you planted remain short? Spread? I grow mine within an obelisk so there is no flopping over. Also, you seem to enjoy Persicaria. Do you have much of a problem with running? Love to watch you in your garden, since it’s the way I go about mine. With much joy.

Liquid amber trees are a total weed here in SE US. I say give it the chop!

They are highly unlikely to fruit in UK or Ireland, so won't spread themselves about as they do in their native areas.

How interesting! I see them planted as street trees in The Bronx, NY. Their foliage looks so great in Fall: golden stars.

You know - every time I watch one of your episodes my bank balance diminishes as I have to go online to track down plants that you talk about that are available in New Zealand.
