PURE EXCELLENCE! I made one today for my Stihl weedeater. No strap necessary. I let the string head ride on the ground, since I'm trimming shorter grass. The secret to saving your back is to: 1)Add left hand extension. 2)Remove the string guard. 3)Let the head ride on the ground to remove ALL the stress off your back. Excellent concept when applied to different types of material to be cut.

Here in the UK we have several stihl fs480 units that are around 10 years old but still continue to perform as they should with relatively minor maintenance. not a big fan of the 4 MIX machines as they tend to give up after 3 or 4 years where there two stroke equipment soldiers on year after year after year .

Yes sir. Even Stihl company does't give stress for 4MIX. 2 stroke machines perform better in all companies. But to fight competition by 4 stroke machines STIHL also released 4MIX which is not that good.

No way. It is not at all for lawn. It is to remove/cut grass or weeds on the farm. Not a lawn mower.

Usually it is ok to go with debris guard of strength weed whipper; however when I hit wet, moisture pile of dog crap it slings all over me. It so annoys me that I want to quit mowing because of displeasure. Sounds like a good idea!
