OMG I'm so sorry. I totally agree with you. Weed killer as well as slug pellets and rat poison should be banned. Sending you love ❤️

Yes Fiona, exactly this, I hate all those things too, they put poison rat traps in the local park and I kept going and blocking up the holes, and when this didn't work, I put them in the bin!

I’m so sorry 😞 to hear this news! I also have been trying to keep the bees,birds and insects…from dying. My yard is full of bees,birds and other animals and they have a refuge for them too live free from harm. We, as women are so important to keep our planet alive and healthy for all creatures. This makes me cry 😭 out loud to stop and think about what we are doing!!! I’m sorry 😢 that they will have to come back a million times over for their recklessness… karma is real and they will pay for this. I’m thinking of you take care my friend ❤
@DottyDelightful7 ай бұрын
thank you Della, yes karma will come for sure. That is what me and my neighbours yards are like, little havens for the birds and wildlife, last week, the only tree, in the alley, was chopped down, a Pigeon nested in it every year, it was sat on one lone branch poor thing and this year gone, forever. It hurts my heart so much x

My heart goes out to you Ruby and I have been upset myself today because of the selfishness of humans towards other species. Most councils have a biodiversity officer which you could contact and complain to. I have literally stood in the way of guys doing that before and refused to move. Maybe get a petition together to take to the council and have the community say they won't pay their council tax if they continue to use/waste your money in that way? Sending lots of love and bags of empathy XXX

Thank you, I’m sorry it happens where you are too, if I saw the quad I would have stood in front of it too, I will see who the biodiversity officer is, thanks for telling me about them. I am going to start a petition and rally the neighbours too xx

That's so sad. I hate it too. That and slug pellets. I'm busy putting it out there to the Universe that all these pesticides are banned and people are educated about responsible eco ways of doing things xx

I would be unhappy too, our alley way is gated luckily so we dont have the poison spraying. I use environmentally friendly ways to remove weeds, i have three cats and dont want them or any other life to be harmed.

I've learned that we, individually, can't bear the weight of the world on our shoulders, otherwise we will drown under that weight. You have gone above and beyond what most people do. The saying 'long hard fight' didn't come about without a reason. And it is a long hard fight. It happens here in the US as well. I think we should create more collectives. Perhaps in your town you can create a collective for your alleyway. A collective that is in charge of maintaining alleyways that the council's can't interfere with. Here we have 'adopt a highway' to keep certain roadways clear from rubbish. Maybe you can start something similar in your area, just zoned as pesticide free. Possible create mini-tours among the different collectives, once (and if) you can get them going.

I love your idea of collectives, your comments have really inspired me, I am going to start a campaign in my community and see what happens x

People are so far from nature it's crazy. Now I don't know what's involved and how you go about it but I have seen some ally ways where the community or just a single person has taken it upon themselves to turn the ally into a peaceful beautiful garden, all with second hand pots, upcycling , recycling etc and growing a magical garden for all. If you did that surly it stops the council coming down with their poison if the allys been tended too?? Its an idea 💡 ❤

I get very frustrated by this as well. Despite having small yard/garden, you may be able to dig a diversion ditch along the alley before they plan on spraying to keep some of the herbicides out of your garden. It’s a tactic used in organic farms that are next to non-organic or unmanaged lands to establish buffer zones that keep chemical drift to a minimum. There are several ways to create a buffer zone, but not all are easy to adapt to residential situations. Don’t forget to whisper this devastating news to the bees.🐝🪻
@DottyDelightful7 ай бұрын
I shall look into this and get some ideas together, I am not sure how as it is cobblestone paving in the alley, but I will def look into possibilities. I have told the bees, through tears, bless them
