Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

I'm constantly amazed by how gentle a buck Zorro is. Even putting a half-grown unfamiliar buckling in with him, he's pretty chill and kind with Napoleon compared to how some bucks can be. Even if he didn't have his fantastic genes, Zorro would be worth keeping as a buck to pass on his kind nature to his kids.

The male rooster is doing that to his hens because there are not enough hens for him. The singular rooster and needs anywhere from 8 to 12 hens otherwise he will overmate the hens he does have which is probably what's happening to your hens

I work at a facility with lots of goats not used for breeding and our whethers were neutered when very young but they still get “studdy” when the ladies are in heat lol. Hell even the ladies act like bucks to each other some times.

For the glasses go somewhere you can try glasses on and find the size and style you like(it shows how wide they are on the sticker). The I love ordering from Zenni optical! You can put in the style and size on there to suit you the best. They have been the best place we have found to get glasses. They do take a few weeks to get to you depending on what add-ons you get. My husband gets very basic nothing added and it's way faster shipping
