Some people have been using cat fur too. It was a way to make a sweater out of your cat's fur. Then when the cat passes on, you can feel your cat's fur. This is the way we used to make yarn, by shaving the animal. There are festivals called Sheep to Shawl. Where the sheep is sheared, the wool is carded and made into yarn. Then the wool yarn is woven, knitted or crocheted into a Shawl. One of my best friends used to do this event, and used flax as well. It was such an interesting hobby. He used to make bobbin lace as well. This is how we used to make our textiles. Now we have machines that do this job. But for many reasons, textile artists are still doing this today.

I’ve only been watching you guys since January but I feel like I’ve gotten to know you guys so much. I was expecting Nigerian dwarf kids when I found you guys. I was looking for so more info on how to take care of them. You helped me so much and I have learned a lot. Now I have two 5 week old happy and adorable Nigerian dwarf bucklings (which will soon become wethers). I just wanted to say thank you.
