Weege Show: New KTM Campus Tour Featuring Every Rider

For years we clumsily called the collection of brands under KTM's umbrella "The KTM Group." Now we have a name for the collection, Pierer Mobility, which is named for KTM's Global CEO Stefan Pierer. The brands (KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas, MV Agusta and Felt Bicycles) broke ground on a new HQ for North America in late 2021, and now the new complex in Temecula, California, is open Jason Weigandt provides a tour of the brand new buildings during the grand opening celebration. Along the way, we chat with just about every factory KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas rider in America!

Why can’t we build a race team/dirt bikes in the U.S.? KTM comes over and opens this state of the facility. Shame on us? Looking for a Elon type…

It has something to do with "fair trade agreements", and subsidies. Cannondale was the last effort, (Bedford PA.),and the rest of the industry (competition) did have a hand in helping shut them down, but they did make a lot of mistakes too. I interviewed there in 2000 (or 2001), and saw a mistake they made, (the shop floor foreman was a mistake). I would have loved to work for them. I got offered a job that was not much more than I was making in Michigan, and glad I did not take the job of course. 6 month later, MXA crucified the bike so badly, like nothing ever before,----like they were paid to do so. But basically on manufacturing (what builds our wealth), ever since the outsourcing of production to communism in china, with our EPA rules, regulations that china and others do not have to deal with,----we are purposely put at a disadvantage for free enterprise production------and we started that as free people. It is communism taking over our free enterprise. That is why. 40 years in manufacturing here myself, and I was not making much money (non-union, but I earned skill), even with 3 college degrees, 2 in engineering, until I started my own business. The Elon type is bad also. He got started with government subsidies, which is part of the process of stealing our free enterprise from us.

Hate that one brand pretends to be 3 really ruins the parody of the sport and only gives KTM more riders to pull over for their guy like they have had them do before. Or cut off other riders and use team tactics when they want like they have also done before. Not to mention that they do not want their lesser brands beating KTM so riding for GasGas or Husky is kind of a a joke.

@@ZmannR2 he’s on the third brand for a reason they are a year behind in bikes and have 20% of KTM or Husky’s budget. The people who have rode for them openly have spoke about how they only want KTM to win it’s why Anderson left. Do you think Marv wants to pull over and let Dungey win or now Cooper. Wilson, Osborne the list goes on they have all talked about having to do whatever KTM tells them.

@@ZmannR2 they didn’t Barcia is fast this year but he wasn’t considered a real contender he makes a fraction of what Webb does and he is to wild for KTM. That’s why Troy Lee signed him Troy is wild KTM group would never have brought Barcia In themselves.

@@ZmannR2 TLD is the factory GasGas team but it’s still troys team he has kept the team through multiple brand changes now. He is who finds his riders that’s why he also has Mosiman who had already kind of lost KTMs faith and they had cut him from Husky. But Troy likes him and got him another chance Brown is the only TLD guy put there by KTM and he is leaving for triump next year.
