Assuming you agree minimum standards will separate the grifters looking for close access and those actually adding value and commanding a large viewing audience. Then the question is “what are the minimum standards for a journalist/content creator/social media personality? Matt B. Has 32k + subscribers and individual videos with actual documented views of over ONE MILLION each. Those are more views than Racer X and Vital and Swap Moto have on their video for the same races. As you said, and any reasonable person would agree, draw the line somewhere. Can’t give passes to everyone. BUT MX Sports a d Feld should be professional and tell people what the standards are so they know the rules and they know what they must achieve in scale and size to qualify. Handling of Matt B. is clearly a subjective call unless the powers who kicked him out will define what their line in the sand is. For now we’re left with MX Sports & Feld looking bad, again.

@@MotoMikkola I think they look beyond just the number of views somebody gets on a KZbin channel. There is probably way more that factors into it than we are aware. Plus Swap, RacerX, Vital , Pulp, etc have been around forever and probably in by default. These new KZbinrs have to do like Hopper and Gypsy did and slowly grease some palms to get in. MattyB might eventually get in, who knows. Cooksey will never get in because he attacks everyone involved.

Wasn't surprising (to me) that there'd be a learning curve for Sexton to get things aligned with the new bike. His SX performance was marginal, if the expectation was he'd challenge Jett. The KTM hasn't performed great the past few years. I can imagine SX bringing out more of the nuances of the bike than MX. For MX, he looks pretty dialed, and if they were racing MX tracks and he was struggling with Jett back, that'd change my opinion. But, the Charlotte track reintroduced SX to the race. I wasn't of the mindset that Sexton's success in MX would translate to SMX. Last weekend, he got a bad start, and he got back to 4th. 2nd moto, Jett got the bad start, and only managed 3rd, with a "winded" Tomac giving up his spot. Hopefully this weekend we see 2 Sexton holeshots, with Jett and Hunter on his heels, and a track that lends itself to passing opportunities. Then we'll get an idea if the "fixes" that KTM did really were the difference. Oh, Coombs and MX Sports/Feld need to lighten up on the "little guy" media. Burkeen produces good stuff. MX Sports/Feld act like they're the NFL. They don't have the following that the NFL does, and they really could use all the help they can get. Burkeen isn't going to ruin the series' image.

Lewis seems to be able to get good interviews out of Chase, I wonder if they're buds or something. Shame I think KTM made Vital take it down, because I know a lot of fans appreciate the honesty and transparency and I really don't think it's going to hurt the KTM brand that much that a guy who just won an outdoor title on their bike isn't totally comfortable with how the bike is set up for him right now. I get it, and I could be wrong, but I feel like people care more about honesty than the bike not being perfectly set up for one particular rider.

Yeah Lewis and Chase are buddy's. I agree, Chase complaining about his hybrid SuperMotocross setup does not sway buyers in the slightest. Factory bikes are very different from production bikes and I think KTM is underestimating that most viewers and buyers understand that. KTM wants customers to believe their Factory Edition bikes are similar to what Chase Sexton is riding.

Moto used to be 80% rider - 20% bike. But it's up to the rider to know enough to set up the bike for himself or be able to explain it to his mechanic. Hopefully the rider knows enough to clean his own air filter.

bike design is key before that for a pro level speed , he is over it if he is speaking publicly , ktm put Webb on a paid holiday for the outdoors when he told it how it was with the ktm bike . They are no where near the Honda Yamaha and Kawi on versatility . Frame and geometry matters along with suspension , Chase had KYB Showa style inserts on his forks when he Worked the bike out , as Weedge would say. Lot of marketing dollar contracts gagging the media with ktmhuskagas bikes

Wow! That was wat too many words just to make an excuse for why Chase doesn't win with a full field of racers. Fact is, there was nothing wrong with his Honda. And there is nothing wrong with his KTM. He looks and performs exactly the same on either bike. He can be as fast as anyone if the moon and all the stars line up just right. Unfortunately for him, that doesn't happen often enough. He's been that way since his 250 days. Don't forget, Roczen won on his Suzuki in 2023. It's the rider. Not the bike.

Starts are definitely the most important part at that level between those top 3-4 guys.. besides maybe Jett bc he can start 5-7th and still come back and win. Plus, when you start out front, you can control the race and pretty much ride how you want, but when you get that 5-10th place start you have to ride harder than you want and you or your bike or both may not work to ride that higher pace. Hopefully we can get all 4 guys out front, preferable chase out front, Tomac 2nd, Jett 3rd, and Hunter 4th, and let’s see what they’ve got… or Hunter 3rd Jett 4th, either way. But need to see Chase and Tomac 1-2 or they aren’t going to beat Jett most likely.

Remember folks it took Honda 20 years to get there bikes back winning again! So bikes and bike changes are very critical for the riders! Chase is just more up front about it. And good job from KTM for not giving up on the bike and it's riders and making it right!!

Chase can definitely run up front, just like ET3 you can see in his riding position and style when he feels comfortable. I feel Jett might be able to get comfortable on any setting and win similar to Deegan they find away to get comfortable.

Great point, that's what separates guys like Deegan and Jett from the rest. They hardly touch their bikes as long as the setup is in the ballpark they have the skill level and mental confidence to adapt and win in a huge range of conditions.

Funny the ktm situation. For us older men who can buy a new bike, the fact the bike doesn't perform as well at supercross as it does at motorcross is not always a negative. We don't ride supercross but we do ride off road and sometimes a motorcross track. So perspective matters too.

ELI lost in 2 motos using the scoop tire on concrete dirt. Deegs is running a soft suspension set up and killing them. The other riders are getting bucked all over using sx set-ups. Chase beat them by 13 seconds Jett out doors has never been beat by 13 seconds.

KTM huskagas is not up to the task, i guarantee you ktm bikes have not been up to the task for a longtime now . Simply put ! They will get smashed in the UK on those ktms , no data fussy bike slower bike depending on the track . Wedge is gas lighting the fans of the sport , ktm sponsorship dollars speaking , it really could be the white red and orange ones are proven not up to the task .
