If Drake Maye played since week 1 we be having a whole different convo right now.. I like how they didn't mention Bo Nix.. Bo Nix is gonna be really good too can't wait to see what J.J Mccarthy can do next year.. Nix Maye and Jaylen is obviously the top 3 best QBs in this draft right now..

The Patriots have their QB for the next decade, or so, as long as they can keep him protected. The O-Line, a few new speed threats on the outside, and one or two new guys on the D side of things, and they will be ready for another run like in the mid-2000's. Go Pats!

@ that’s a very different system over there in Denver with the head coach. Bo would not be doing that if he was Chicago quarterback. Denver has one of the best lines good game and a great head coach they’re playing smart football. Still I’m impressed with his first season. Don’t forget he played like five years of college football lol he was already a veteran coming in, but he’s not going to get better. He is what he is bow. Drake will just keep getting better and better.

it's a good thing they didn't let maye start until the season was out of reach. it's a lot easier on him to be playing and learning in real games without the pressure of being expected to make the playoffs. they lose, people can still recognize he played well, they win, bonus! if he'd been put in week one, everyone would be tearing him a new one right now for not being better. as it is, he can do well and be credited for it rather than being slammed for not being 'good enough'.

Everyone said that Caleb was a generational talent coming out of college. I just did not see it. I mean he has NFL talent, dont get me wrong, I just didnt see gauranteed greatness for him. There is certainly time for that, but I'm still not seeing it. I thought Jayden was the generational talent. Every game I watched of Jayden at LSU, he was the best player on the field. I cant say the same about Caleb at USC.

Milroe to the Jets ?
@junehanzawa5165Күн бұрын
@@petermarshall6577 The Jets already have Travis. Won his last 17 games, beat Jayden Daniels and his two 1st round WR both times they played, and his ex team has been 3-10 since he got hurt late in the season. All they need to do is get a good offensiminded head coach to lead him. He's almost impossible to sack, so much so that he was recruited by Louisville to take over after Lamar left. But the coaches left so the transfered to Florida State. Think about it, a QB leads you to 17 straight wins and an underfeated season on a power 5 conference on a major football school, and they leave them out simply because one player got hurt. So they went from 17-0 with him to 3-10 without him.

@junehanzawa5165Күн бұрын
@petermarshall6577 No. He was placed on the NFI list as he recovers so as not to lose a roster spot. By rule, he's not even allowed to practice with the team. They did the absolute right thing by allowing him to fully heal, and time for an offensive head coach to come over to work with him. Similar to how the Chiefs handled Mahomes by not allowing him to play the first year, although he wasn't hurt. They knew he needed a year to sit and watch.

@petermarshall6577 So you're saying that Joe Montana (3rd Rd), Russell Wilson (3rd Rd), Tom Brady (6th Rd), Kurt Warner (undrafted), Johnny Unitas (9th Rd) Dak Prescott (4th Rd)... I can go on forever, could not play because they were not prototypical NFL QB's so they not 1st round picks? Yet a guy an inch taller is? And Rodgers does not have any more guaranteed money left. All he had was 2 years guaranteed. They'll eat some minor dead cap next year and that's it. And NO good coach or good coach prospect will go to the Jets with Rodgers there. Not one. They'll use that pick to get another good O-lineman to block for Travis, like they should have done with all the valuable picks they gave away for an over the hill, locker. room killer. The Jets said they target from from the early rounds on. The only reason he fell that late and they waited was because of his injury (so not combines or pro day), the extremely deep QB class, and the overall deepest draft EVER because of the extra Covid years. And just to let you know, Florida State only had 5 guards blocking for Travis. Not a single OL good enough to play T on any other major program. They were good run blockers, but horrendous pass blockers. And yet Travis could not be sacked. Once he was gone, the other QB's had no chance with that O-line.

The eye test would tell you Maye was better and he won. The stats test tells us that they both have awful up and down games this year and similar QB ratings. Both have 5INT but despite Williams' more TDs and yards it has not helped his overall rating same as Drake's positives. Story for Maye has been much the same. Grab a TD or two, usually early in the game, and then stall out for 2.5 quarters hoping the opponent beat themselves or the defense slows them down. TEN did not beat themselves and CHI did. That's the difference for me. Wiggy says he isn't a repeat offender but every game he has made 1 or 2 throws that are pure panicked reactions right to a defender. Not all have been INTs but that's a bad habit he keeps repeating...
