Tomorrow I have to go through this surgery. It’s good to know that recovery is not that terrible and to not hasten the recovery. Thank you.

I had my meniscus root tear surgery in my left knee today. Thanks for creating the weekly videos which I’ll be following along with during my own recovery. Sleeping Day 1 and 2 will definitely be challenging. Rest is going to be key. I feel “slow and steady” is going to be the right approach for recovery. Thank you again!

We have a saying here in my country, which loosely translated says that a moment can bring what a whole year will not. What happened was so unfortunate, but it's nice to see that your spirits are lifted and that you are working so hard to get better!May your recovery be speedy and full dear Deanna❤

Thanks so much for this series!!! I had root tear surgery on June 30th and after watching your videos, I feel a bit more hopeful. It felt as though I wasn't progressing and now I get it- the process is steady...no quick fixes. I don't know anyone else who's had this surgery and it's good to see a slightly similar recovery experience

Sorry about your knee Lena, but we can do it!! Just move your body where you can. For awhile that might mean only upper body, but that's ok! One day at a time.

My Dr puts no brace on you and you can walk when you feel comfortable doing so. No restrictions

So happy to come across your video. I have a meniscus root tear surgery scheduled for Nov. 11. You are so positive and so encouraging. I'm quite a bit older than you, but very active. I, myself, teach 10 fitness classes a week and train a couple clients with Parkinson's. You are motivating me to continue to work out throughout this whole process even though it's going to look very different. Looking up all your other videos! Thank you!

Hey Tracey! Sorry to hear about your knee, but yes, continuing to exercise, even if only upper body for awhile, was very helpful to me. Felt like I was still moving forward! One step at a time!

Oh man. I’m sorry to hear about injury. It’s good that you’re still keeping active and at least getting some upper body workouts in. I hope you continue to heal well and are back to normal very soon!

It’s not easy. Patience and upper body focus are all you have for several weeks. But DO what you can! Find movement that works and do it!

This is so helpful! I have my surgery on 9/1 and I am wired about it, but his makes it easier to swallow! And I love to work out, so the workouts are great for me to see that they can be done!

This is so encouraging. I am having a posterior root meniscus tear surgery in 2 weeks. Rehab and nwb crutches is what makes me most anxious. Can I ask what they did to repair? Did they suture the root meniscus to your tibia?

Hate that happened to you! Nobody has time for surgery and recovery, especially since you’re so active! Hope you have an uneventful recovery!

I may be facing surgery, as my MRI shows a root tear on my right knee. How is it managing to shower? How long until you can drive? Thank you so much for these videos!

Oh Denise! I'm so sorry about you knee. Sounds like we are becoming knee-twins. I was fine in the shower, I just kind of crawled in and sat down. I know people also use a shower chair for help. I believe I was about 6 weeks before driving, I will say it was easier than I thought it would be. I was nervous about it, but it not an issue for me at all. I'm 52 years old, and still not back to 'normal'. I have decent range of motion, but still quite a bit of stiffness. Have definitely made some changes to my leg day, and have not been able to return to running. Everyone is different, but this has been my experience. Just taking it slow, keeping up my PT exercises (at home now), and trying to rebuild quad strength. Keep me updated!!
