Check the frame for cracks around the headstock! It is one of the early „widowmaker“ frames without the additional tube under the backbone!

@@MyRestoration1 Those frames were recalled in the U.S. by Norton. If you plan to ride the bike they will break at the headstock. Andover Norton can supply the frame tube to strengthen the frame as subsequent '69-'70 frames used. I highly encourage this be added before you paint the frame.

This one is quite old. It does not have the “Norton” name on the timing cover.

Yes it is. I have an archivist who showed me just how old it is. I’ve yet to see an older one surviving. I would love that!
