Week 2 - Finke River Gorge and the Hay River track

Hey Adventurers... Week 2 update. We are in Birdsville after completing the Hay River track. An interesting week saw us robbed by dingoes and humans alike. But we are all enjoying the ride, avoiding the rain and heading further north!

Crime is rampant in Alice Springs, especially within the caravan parks. Our caravan was entered at midnight whilst we were asleep in it, police attended, got out of bed in the morning to find that our car had been broken into after the police left ! Alice Springs, a good place not to stop at.

Props to you guys doing the Hay River track. I did it in a 4WD as backup for some riders (and I was glad I wasn't on a bike, too much sand for me). The lack of traffic after the Simpson tracks is fantastic! But now you've let the secret out Nerb!

Round the world KTM500 rider Kiwi Aaron Steinmann had his bike stolen from outside his tent at the Uluru campground a year ago, thereabouts. Looks like there is a problem there.

Looking forward to your whole video of your trip when you get home. It's a real shame you experienced being robbed, it would put a downer on your trip. I know of some people that got done on the way to race and lost their race bike. It does put doubt in people to experience your type of trip😡😡😡😡

Should have scanned a 300 meter areas around the lost backpack locale. The dogs mostlikely would have ripped it up and found nothing to eat, then dropped it.
