Forward scanning radar - if fitted - would only give you a few seconds to react and avoid at the speed these skifs skid! Perhaps automatic obstacle avoidance could be installed? (it's only a auto helm connection ... ) Better a knock down or jibe than hit something... What a shame - as a blue-water captain i was enjoying "being" on board with the Boss! I've Great Respect for them!

Tepid Bread Ahh.. I was thinking of a different race that had stop overs. Your right.. he will have to saw off the broken pieces if possible and do the best he can.
