I don't mean to be one of those people who claims they can do some death defying stunt they saw on youtube, but I thought they were at least going to right the ship once he was up there! I have jumped into water from higher up than that on a fun day out at the lake.

That was pretty cool. However, the dive gets 2-10 points...He would have looked so much better if he actually made a good dive.

I destroyed the record, I’m even more a hero than an astronaut, I should have won...blah-blah. Despite a faraminous budget and 5 participations (half of the editions) he never won, he always broke, he never had the humility for it. In 2020 he was clamoring that he would finish the race in 67 days, the record being 74... Result he broke again. He has always forgotten the law of the ocean which, far from all this mess, remains the strongest! However, it is true that the all-black design of his boat in 2016 was one of the most beautiful imocas of the Vendée Globe.

There is definitely something missing from this 2024 Vendée Globe. I even tried to root for Alan Roura, just because. So, I am pouring my energy on the women. Pip, Sam, Cla Cla, Justine, Violette. It would be just so freaking amazing if a woman won this race. And Sam is doing pretty well. Who knows?

I have probably never seen anything more crazy. I remembered it for a long time and have returned to these shots many times over the years. Shit I'm almost more impressed by the ski dirver, pull up along side that keep long enough and close enough for him to get onto it in choppy windy waters. Is pretty good piloting of the ski. He's the real hero, without him wasn't possible
