Thank you for your honest account of raising Cannon. We had a vizsla, Rusty for 13 years and remember all those early challenges! Rusty left us in Dec 2021, we were heartbroken! I have owned two German Longhair Pointers and two Vizsla's over the past almost 28 years (two dogs at a time - 1 GLP & 1 Vizsla concurrently) and both of the Viszla's had toilet paper issues - forget to properly close the bathroom door and any waste tissue paper they found in the waste basket was shredded although they never stole rolls of toilet paper. Our last Vizsla and German Longhair Pointer were nicknamed Shredder 1 and Shredder 2.

Our old Vizla never fetched from ground, wasn't interested, looked just at humans thinking that they are so dumb tryna throw stuff at ground for her. But she ALWAYS fetched from water, no matter how far you threw her floating water toy in to the sea, she always brought it back and wanted more! Basically a seal.

the boot reminded me of when my old vizsla ate one of my dads shoes when he was 1 or 2 years old and my dad ducktaped the shoe to his head for a day. he never ate another shoe his entire life lol.

my old vizsla gunny that has passed now sadly was such a great dog. he would literally play fetch for hours. these dogs are true athletes and amazing bird dogs and great pets too. if they werent so exspensive for puppies id already have another one cause i miss gunny for sure. he had a great life though and lived a happy 14 years.

Such a gorgeous boy! I really appreciate your videos. I have been seeing vizslas on another YT channel and was really admiring them and beginning to contemplate getting one. BUT, watching your vids has shown me that the breed really isn’t right for me, at least not as a puppy, or even adopting an older dog in my situation right now. I appreciate the honesty of your vids. I’m wondering, did he ever get the hang of the nerf ball gun? And how scary about the adders! I hope you’re able to keep him safe. Sorry if that means you need to keep him on leash, but I’m sure it’s worth it. I just subscribed so I can see when you update again. I’m glad your lockdown is easing some. I’ve absolutely loved seeing your countryside - I live in the desert of Las Vegas, so your area looks heavenly!!

Thank you! Vizslas are a very active breed but they are amazing dogs, if you have time on your hands and enjoy exercise you will be fine. Check out our daily routine video and you will be able to see what a normal day is like for us. Yes he loves the Nurf gun now, it’s great fun! 😊🐾🐾
