I believe I did not find your channel and follow until you were going out of PA. and enjoyed following your journey northward ever since. I will have time in coming colder months to go back and catch up to the beginning of your journey and look forward to seeing that. @CheerOnTheTrail Cool. I would love to see what gear works for you and various people and especially what is not so great as I plan my thru hike on The AT within the next 2 years. I will definitely check out your CDT videos. I been to CO. and did some short hikes in The Rockies above Estes Park in 2018. Seeing those mountains in person is awesome and believing, beholding their massive awesome beauty and nothing in pictures can ever prepare a person to know how truly huge, majestic, and expansive they truly are!!!

so happy for you, what and accomplishment. you did it weird doing the cdt in the middle. maybe during the cold maine winter ill watch your pct and cdt videos. inspiration helps get through that. judging by your tak of the hurricane you summited kahtadin while i was on my first backpacking trip post surgery which went awesome, first trip was on the coast which was 4 hours from here planned it small and it worked so well, the tides crashing in on the rocks was awesome.

Yes I don’t recommend doing it in the order I did 😂. I think the CDT last would be the better call (as most people do). Nevertheless, it was great to finish the whole thing on Katahdin (on a beautiful day, no less 🙌🏼).

I live in New York State and have hiked a 27 mile section of the AT in the presidential range - 7 summits including Washington. I’ll be 69 in November and I’m hoping to do more sections on the AT. I just discovered you today and I like what I see. Great you went down the Knife's Edge! Most hikers are scared of that, in fact I've been watching through hikers for about 7 years, followed over a hundred hikers and you are only the second one to go down that way. The other person was Craig Mains trail name ~ Hawk ~.He has done the AT 7 times now, one year he did a YoYo. He doesn't care about the PCT or CDT.

I’d love to learn more about re-supplying! How does it work? How do you know when and where you’ll be to receive a package. It seems like a lot of predicting, guessing, forecasting.
