People keep talking about the “Two-State Solution” for Israel and Palestine, but to be honest, such a thing just simply isn’t possible in the foreseeable future unfortunately. Because not only have Netanyahu and his government of ultra far-right extremist loons rejected the Two-State plan, but Palestine has rejected it too in the past (which led to the First Intifada, if I remember correctly).

Led to the second intifada. The short version is that after a pro-peace government was elected in Israel in 1999, all sides met in Camp David again, and Arafat refused to negotiate, trying to rally support from the Palestinian public, a lot of which didn't think that peace was a good idea. In my opinion, Arafat doesn't get enough criticism for the sh*t he did. He most probably accepted the Oslo Accords just to gain more power and influence in Palestinian politics, and get the PLO recognized as their representative. After that, he had no problem sending his people on another intifada that devastated both sides and lead them to support peace even less.

I understand that some may consider my idea radical, but I believe it is the best solution for peace in the Middle East. We need to remove borders and governments that correlate with Israel, Palestine, and other such nations and create a democratic republic that is free of religion. The root of the problem is the lack of water and food in the desert region and the religious zealots who fight over power, resources, and lands. Their actions are fueled by their dislike of those who think differently from them. This fighting is partly due to the harm done by overseas countries like America and Britain. The solution is to form a Union/Republic of the Middle East that will give people more freedom and teach them the importance of organizing and compromising. With some foreign aid, we can help attain more water and food. To decrease religious conflict, Jerusalem should not belong to any country. Instead, it should be a neutral zone under the supervision of an order or council of the Abrahamic religions. People of all religions, including Jews, Christians, Muslims, and others, should be able to make pilgrimages to the city. Let us work together to create a prosperous future for the Middle East. By forming a democratic republic that is free of religion and embracing cooperation, we can bring peace to the region.

Trying to root religion out will literally cause horrible conflict and make it 4000x worse, in fact some of the most religious countries in the world lie in the middle east. the only way to actually unite the middle east is a uniform theocracy like a caliphate as was done from 600-900 CE when the Rashiduns/Umayyads/Abassids who were muslims ruled the middle east as a theocracy yet having a majority christian population in the caliphate. This was the most peaceful time for the middle east since most of it was under one banner except for some of anatolia.

Israel still controls the ways in and out of Gaza City, but they don't have a permanent military presence there. They retreated most of their soldiers out of the strip in preparation for the Rafah offensive, and to restart the economy (since these soldiers were reservists, and a lot of them were the economic base of Israel)
