Week 3, Day 3 - Wednesday Devotional

Bible Verse:
”Now my friends, I want to say this to you. Fill your minds with thoughts about good things. Think about things that are true, clean, right and lovely. Always think about things which people know are very good.“

Devotional:
Many times our minds wander to a place that is filled with fear, worry, anger, and helplessness. Why? Because we dwell on things that are not true, or right, or even real. This verse is packed with so much wisdom and meaning.
The point is that we must be self-controlled in our thinking because even here, in our minds, we are called to glorify our God. It is harmful to us and dishonouring God to dwell on things that are not pure or lovely. It is wrong to dwell on “what ifs” because these things will rob us of joy, sleep, and faith.
