Oooohhh....I haven't started yet. I needed to see more blocks before deciding what fabric to use. After seeing this video, and looking at the patterns and template, I am thinking THIS might be a great project for my Stacy West Seeds of Glory line???

I think instead of this Lady of the Lake-a block I’ve never liked-I will make a similar half-and-half block that is less “spiky.” I will have to look up the name again; I can’t remember what it is. But a fun thing is for the big light side, I have a BIG red and blue polka dot that I’ve been looking for a place to use. I made three blocks yesterday so before this morning (😅), I was only one block behind! Oh well. It will be fine!

Hi Jessica. Thanks so much for doing this quilt along. I love your quilting and teaching style! On the orange peel template, it says to cut just inside the line but seam allowance is not included. Is that correct? Perhaps I’ll revisit later but thought I’d ask

I think I understand now; cut the template just inside the line before placing on fabric then add seam allowance.

You are correct. Cut the template out just inside the black line and then add the seam allowance to your fabric. That video will be up tomorrow if you need it.

Hi Jessica, I'm really enjoying the sew along. Thanks for helping me improve my sewing skills. I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble opening the template design ? I can't get it to open correctly so I can print the document. Thanks for any help.

I recently bought one and have used it in two videos. I don't think it has made a difference and I don't think people can tell which videos have the microphone. I can't buy another one but I'm trying to figure out how I can make the sound better.
