I'd say he's probably the best backup in the league. He's probably not at the point of being a 17 game starter at his age, but it's pretty evident he can come in and handle a half or probably even 3-4 games at a high level. Colts were so smart to sign him.

The older QBs who can read defenses are lethal if they get protection. They made their reps beating blitzes. Blitzes are killing teams with young QBs who are operating behind bad O lines. Justin Fields played really well.

It’s like Florio doesn’t even listen to Simms I swear. We already know that Florio has no clue about what’s really going on on the field. The X’s and O’s. Simms clearly finished his thought by saying, “Pittsburgh needs to unleash Fields and let him make plays. He’s shown he can protect the ball and complete the big throws. They’re holding him back.” Then Florio immediately says, “well we might see Pittsburgh start to rush along Russel Wilson’s ‘injury status’ after this.” You could even see Simms subtly look sideways like “what?!” Simms basically just said that Fields wasn’t the problem then Florio immediately says that they might hurry and get Wilson back in there. Florio is clueless. If Simms saw that Fields wasn’t the problem then Pittsburgh will be able to see that on film. Florio obviously can’t. Even though he’s been “analyzing football” for over 20 years and watching it for over 50. He’s such a fraud

Doug Pederson will be fired soon, and a new coach will come in to help with Lawrence. Some time next season, they will finally write off Trevor Lawrence as dead cap space. Simple as that. I have seen this pattern before.

Florio is STILL wrong about the Panthers. Do you all even watch these games? The Panthers' OFFENSE played just as well as it did against the Raiders. Their WRs had 6 drops that cost them. Their main problem is their Defense is THE WORST IN THE NFL. Ja'Marr Chase didn't do squat on that TD play. The Panthers' pathetic tackling did it all. The first player that hit him didn't even try to wrap him up, he just tried to bump him down like that would work, and the 2nd Panthers player that hit him slid off him like he was covered in baby oil. The way the Panthers' offense played yesterday, they would've beaten most teams in the NFL. The way their Defense played, putting ZERO...AND I MEAN Z-E-R-O...pressure on Joe Burrow and always missing the first tackle is why they lost, they would've lost to most NFL teams, and that is the only reason they lost. Cincinnati didn't do squat. The Panthers lost that game and if you'd watched it you might know that.
