Week 5 - Rollingstone to Paronella Park, QLD

Leaving north Mackay we continue to head north stopping to camp at "Funny Dunny" campsite. While the name is funny the beauty of this seaside inlet is nothing to laugh at and we enjoy hours walking along the sea shore. And the Dunny is well worth a visit!
Next we roll into Rollingstone, just north of Townsville called Vincent Pushy Parker campground. This is were we learn that getting a permit to camp and making a booking are the same thing.
This is where a fellow camper tells us about Paronella Park and its camp ground - so glad she did.
We spend two nights in their "newish" paddock campground and spend an entire day touring the magical gardens that one man decided to built. Tickets include a night tour and we certainly enjoyed the light show as it lit up the iconic structures of these gardens.
