Thanks for the great feedback Darren, I'm always a little nervous giving advice about things, so giving our facts about our actual costs sits better with me. I don't think we will ever revisit the Crystal Castle. I also know that you will never get John to change his football team. He was lucky enough to be at the grand final they won and he cried tears of joy and still talks about it to anyone who will listen. He doesn't mind the Dragons though, they rate as "okay" in his opinion, lol. Cheers Sharyn

we had to pause watching your video, had visitors pop in as my son has returned after 2 years traveling Australia. Loved your campsite, photography superb and following your experience. Perfect conditions for the sand for your first 4wd beach drive. We were nervous our first time on (at the time Fraser) as we were the first off the barge. There was a guy behind us over excited and was weaving from left to right and ended up popping his tyres. Loved seeing how it is now. You two look liked you fully embraced your visit. Cheers Marg

We took 2 months off last year and explored WA but I didn't do any videos until I returned home, and I must say that they consumed me. I won’t buy take out coffee, I’m not not a coffee snob. I do draw the line at Maxwell house. But, I won’t go past here without buying a cappuccino.

did it all in 72 in a 23 ft millard and v8 premier holden, 26 YEARS OLD WITH A BITCH AND TWO KIDS , camped at wategoes on the beach for 6 months, best surf ever , most days 10 in the water, GOLF WAS GREAT THEN TOO, been back all over queensland in 2022 , aus is now totally fucked , vans every where, and the cost is a joke, get out while you still can , I now have a farm in thailand , AND I AM FREE !

I'm not sure how far North you are as yet (first time seeing this). However, if you want a free overnight stay, the campground at the Beerwah sports ground is open for power and water self sufficient travellers.

Such a great trip planned and looking forward to travelling with you and seeing how the Iridium goes. We're just back from a couple of weeks in the Eastern Goldfields and have to say, as usual, the Iridium was brilliant. Handled the muddy tracks, corrugations, wet roads and all in between brilliantly. Like you we much prefer the less frequented places to stay and the fun of finding them.

Sooo cold, glad to be on the coast now even though it is raining. It was raining really hard when we passed Ebor Falls and we've been in there before so decided to keep going. One day I'm going to do the Waterfall Way and Region spending a few weeks. It is so beautiful in that region but not appropriate when you mainly have summer, warm clothing with us. Cheers Sharyn

back in late 1990s rode my large bmw road bike (k100rs) with my son on the back from jindabyne to buchan on the 'barry way' which sounds like a pretty grand road - it sure wasn't - not a road you'd like to take your van but i'm sure it would be capable of doing it behind the prado - we didn't go on the road to McKillops Bridge but i would like to see it one day

Sounds like a great adventure on your BMW. I followed the car GPS from Bombala to Buchan and the road sure was windy and narrow, and took me nearly an hour longer than I thought it should. On the way home I went via the highway and cut 45 minutes of the drive. Some roads are not well maintained around that area but the scenery is pretty.

Sorry to hear that you got covid. It's quite a horrible illness so hope you get over it quickly. Great that you saw the platypus though!! I didn't know about the Bombala spot so will put that on the list to visit if I'm around that way. We saw Platypus in Tasmania this year and it was quite a highlight!! Thanks, so great to see the Platypus, wish the weather was better. Our theory is that we caught Covid together but no idea when and how. While we wear masks regularly no one in our tight friendship bubbly has contracted it and I'm guessing we just picked it up randomly. I am grateful that many friends know of my medical condition and are careful around me. Guess the infection sight will always be an unknown,

I adore Wilsons Prom!! ❤We went on that boat trip too last year and it was fabulous! You had a much calmer day than we had but how great is Skull Rock!! The wildlife at Wilsons Prom is sensational & the scenery is spectacular!! I think we went to all the walks you did on this day too (didn't see a snake though). Thanks for the feedback Karen, I'm please to have it confirmed that they were Hooded Plovers (I've been wrong before). I couldn't believe how cheeky that wombat was and not cranky at all. If you want to guarantee seeing a wild wombat put Bendeela campground on your list. The Ranger were really surprised that it was a red belly black snake. They said they were aware of copperheads, tiger and white tipped snakes. I had to show them a photo to convince them what I'd seen. In Canberra the snakes are rare to see at this time of year. Cheers Sharyn

wow - 32kms in a day - no way i could do that now - although i did the overland track over 5 days in tas quite a few years ago - typical national parks to make you walk perfectly drivable roads - it is a special place

I actually do have a drone with me and I should get more confident and use it more. When John is with me he uses it all the time. I just find it busy taking photos, recording, editing and putting the video together, especially this week with such a quick turn around, that I just haven't used it. Off to Wilson's Prom today, will have to see if drones are permitted and if so, I will use it. Cheers Sharyn

@@sharyns.shenanigans did a motorcycle trip doubling my son many years ago - at the prom a wombat went under the hammock he was resting in - and there was a large area of nesting silver gulls and they made a huge fuss if you went near - you don't often see flightless downy gull chicks
