I love World Market but it’s an hour away from me so I don’t make it very often.

Buying bargains really stretches the quantity of food that can be purchased at a lower price in these inflationary times, but this method of purchasing doesn't lend itself to staying to a weekly "limit." It really becomes more about making meals/snacks for all with about $50 of the purchases , current or previous, each week. I just got 50% off boneless, skinless chicken thighs at Aldi and was able to buy multiple trays. I cooked some and bagged the rest in multiple freezer bags. I also got their frozen veggies, and loss leader bagged salad and avocados. Easy meals!

I 100% agree. I have a new video coming out explaining how I am going to be changing my focus and budget for 2024. The $50 goal was set in Jan 2023 and by mid-year inflation had made it almost impossible to buy current needs and stock up for the future. I am glad that the 2023 challenge to myself is over now.

50 a week for a family of 4 is amazing.. a cheap budget some ppl would consider 200.. 50 each person.. youve out done yourself!..crazy@@thisfamilylife

Wow! You still did really good! We are a family of 4 two teens but I wonder if I could do $50 a week…. I’m doing a pantry challenge in January but normally it’s $200 a week! Yikes!
