For me you can keep 3 days of heat, give me 20 degrees all summer, you can breath, sleep, move about without having to shower every half hour, our houses are all fitted with carpets unlike the med countries which are all cool tiles, we are not built for heat, the 3 days can come and go as quick as it likes.

No, the only major record that was broken this year was the June monthly average temperature. In terms of minor records, there's often gonna be somewhere specific that breaks its local record 🤷‍♀️

I do love the British weather, it just wouldnt be the same place without it... Rain... Keeps the frost off in winter and wild fires down in the summer, and without it, we wouldnt have this lush green countryside all around us all year round (
