I’m one of those people who grew up thinking I wasn’t good enough, wasn’t smart enough, didn’t have the mental or emotional capacity... but I had people along the way who gave me hope, and believed in me. Then more importantly I began to believe in myself. Years later I have that coveted “Dr” in front of my name. I barely passed high school, I failed out of community college my first year, I come from a relatively poor family, none of which were doctors or could support my education.. I’m sorry that believing in people and trying to boost their confidence is offensive to you. But I’m not going to stop doing that people I’m glad there was people who did that for me. Your honesty and sincerety is refreshing. I have incomplete paralysis and couldn't get an accurate diagnosis by FOUR neurosurgeons because they all covered up for one another until I finally got my highly ethical Orthopedic Surgeon who properly diagnosed me with severe adhesive arachnoiditis. Please always give your patients their accurate diagnosis, regardless how it may affect your colleagues. A timely, accurate diagnosis may mean the difference of having options for treatment or not. It isn't any doctors place to protect anyone, even themselves. If you screw up, then you screw up. Patients have more respect for those who own up and admit it than for those who hide and cover up. Please be the better doctor - I trust you will! ❤️
