As a nurse we are all a team. We have your back. I’ve saved many doctors from making mistakes. You are not alone. There are many disciplines involved in patient care and are checking each other along the way. Pharmacists are one of the greatest assets. They are always willing to help. It’s a part of learning. Even the most seasoned nurses and doctors make mistakes. We won’t let you accidentally hurt the patient 😉. With that being said, please be nice to us.

Dont give up before you even start!!
4 жыл бұрын
Dr. Adam Hotchkiss no offense or disrespect, Dr, but please don’t say that. You don’t know her, she knows herself. When people tell us things like that without knowing us and our situation or circumstances it almost hurts even more because it’s a false hope. It’s never gonna happen for many of us no matter how much we want it. All we can do is watch these amazing physicians who film their experiences for us to enjoy and live vicariously through them. Maybe in another life.....😪
@DrAdamHotchkiss4 жыл бұрын
Gena Holden I didn’t mean any offense. I’m one of those people who grew up thinking I wasn’t good enough, wasn’t smart enough, didn’t have the mental or emotional capacity... but I had people along the way who gave me hope, and believed in me. Then more importantly I began to believe in myself. Years later I have that coveted “Dr” in front of my name. I barely passed high school, I failed out of community college my first year, I come from a relatively poor family, none of which were doctors or could support my education.. I’m sorry that believing in people and trying to boost their confidence is offensive to you. But I’m not going to stop doing that people I’m glad there was people who did that for me. If you ever want to talk more about your situation or if you ever need any confidence boosting you can always reach out to me. Or if you need anything at all don’t hesitate. Again, sorry to be offensive in anyway.

Your honesty and sincerety is refreshing. I have incomplete paralysis and couldn't get an accurate diagnosis by FOUR neurosurgeons because they all covered up for one another until I finally got my highly ethical Orthopedic Surgeon who properly diagnosed me with severe adhesive arachnoiditis. Please always give your patients their accurate diagnosis, regardless how it may affect your colleagues. A timely, accurate diagnosis may mean the difference of having options for treatment or not. It isn't any doctors place to protect anyone, even themselves. If you screw up, then you screw up. Patients have more respect for those who own up and admit it than for those who hide and cover up. Please be the better doctor - I trust you will! ❤️

So, the day you uploaded this, I found you from my YT recommendations. And in the last two weeks I have watched every single video of yours since your first day at med school, sequentially. I just want to say how proud and impressed I am of your journey and I am very thankful you shared it with us, including the highs and lows. I very much look forward to watching your future videos, Dr. :)

Please continue your videos as you go through your journey as a doctor. I’m not even in the medical field, but I find your videos so interesting and inspiring. You seem so beautiful and kind hearted. You have a lot of people on here rooting for you!
