These videos are so insightful as to what a day in the life of a dietitian looks like! I am starting my master’s to become a dietitian and I’m already feeling the imposter’s syndrome setting in. Did you have imposter’s syndrome when you started your post grad or career? If so what helped you be more confident in yourself and your skills? Thank you!

Definitely! I had imposter's syndrome as a new grad and every time I changed service areas. I found that having a good support system at home and also at work really helped me to cope with a lot of these feelings (also knowing that you're totally not alone!!!) Obviously, whenever you transition into something new, you may not be quite as skilled yet so the imposter's syndrome is not irrational. Working on building up your knowledge base by doing some extra readings and practicing your skills will help. Aside from that, don't be afraid to ask your colleagues/preceptors/professors any questions that come up! Remember that you are new and no one expects you to know everything on day one, week one, or even month one :)

You're welcome! It actually doesn't really affect my eating habits. If anything, my eating habits are much more lax now as a dietitian compared to when I was a student. It's not worth all the stress!! I just try to get in some sort of fruit or veggies and a good serving of protein at every meal and eat everything in moderation
