The way I see it, anything you do as a job will always be depressing at some point. Even if it’s a “passion” it will end up being work and might ruin that passion for you. So yk I feel like, if you’re going to have a job make it at least comfortable,high paying, and meaningful.

i totally agree with @lovenpeace1000 , i learned java first but fundamental knowledge can be transferred to any coding languages :) it may just take a couple of days to get used to the nuances and syntax of new language

It’s not, it’s a very team driven occupation. You are always working with people and meeting new people. Also, there is a ton of meetings (which increase the more senior you become). The only part of it that is in isolation is the coding (which sometimes happens in pairs). If you can handle that though, I would personally highly recommend it. Especially if you like solving problems and love learning about technology!

Software engineering is totally a good job for introverts. Ya, teamwork is involved but you can spend most of your day cranking out code. You're coding most of the day(idk how it is working for facebook or something, maybe they are talking all day), but the coding jobs I had were sitting in front of a computer with the occasional teamwork.
