First Lie Wins was definitely full of twists! But an easy read. Then I read The Expatriates before watching the show with Nicole Kidman. And I was looking up the definitions of many unfamiliar words! Have you seen Perfect Days, nominated for an Oscar, Cari? Simple, slow but a profound message of enjoying our regular days. So good! Dune 1 definitely was the world/character building introduction, it set the scene and cinematography style of Denis Villeneuve's vision. Dune 2 was beautiful too but with first impressions stuff out of the way he could get more into action and the "blockbuster" aspects that can really get asses in seats while still delivering on the artistic side. Happy to have more of these tho, was never into the MCU stuff and I'm picky on sci-fi at times but I've enjoyed pretty much all of the directors work and his style seems to work great for this story. (Blade Runner too)
