highly recommend the Roma pods for that nespresso!! i brew mine and make iced coffee with oat milk every morning and it’s SO good!! i literally crave it and prefer it to going out for coffee

Re: Coffee You should ditch the Nespresso & Keriug style machines altogether and get a french press and a mocha pot. A French press makes way better coffee than a machine, even if you are using preground coffee. I recommend getting a cheap coffee grinder, whole beans, and a french press. It will change your coffee experience drastically. And it doesn't take up a lot of counter space because they are all small pieces of equipment. For espresso, use a mocha pot with fresh grounds or vacuum-packed grounds and it gives you more espresso (to use then or refrigerate for later) and tastes better. ALSO, these are way better for the environment and way more cost effective.

Espresso shots have a “lifespan” of 10 seconds. So, if you don’t combine them with a bit of milk/non dairy milk within 10 seconds after brewing, it will taste more bitter or burnt. That could be why you don’t like this machine as much 🤷🏻‍♀️ just a thought!

Brooke, instead of painting the entire back wall of your bedroom pink to then have to repaint it white when you move out, why don't you just buy a large pink art piece to go above your bed? It seems more cost effective since you can take the art to wherever you move next

Just a suggestion since you mentioned that you are reading more lately! There’s an app called Libby and you can borrow e-books and audiobooks for free. All you need is a local library card. It’s great and helps me save lots of money on books. I know many people prefer a physical book, myself included, but it’s nice to save money where I can 😀

The vertuo nespresso machines are more creamy because they spin the pods around (which is why they're so loud) and the original is stationery! Def sell yours and get another vertuo- I love mine! That orange outfit is absolutely STUNNING on you! Major props to you for getting out there in the dating scene...it's been such a struggle here in LA! And agree that big brother is trash this season...it'd be tempting to stop watching if we didn't already make it this far!

I recommend the Breville Nespresso machine. It’s spendy but so worth it- you literally hit what type of coffee you want (latte, cappuccino, flat white etc) and it pulls the shot and steams the milk to match. It has been a lifesaver and paid for itself in my very busy new mom life!

The Nespresso machine you have is designed to make an Espresso shot or a Lungo (which is slightly more coffee) and then add milk so it becomes a Café Latte or Latte Macchiato. In general it is not designed to make a large portion of coffee like a filter coffee machine would or the Nespresso machine you previously owned. So it depends on your preference on how you like to drink coffee in general. Of course the flavor of the pods also makes a difference, some are of a stronger intensity (which is usually displayed by a number on the packaging). Starbucks also have Nespresso pods which would fit this coffee machine, if you like their coffee for example. Hope this helps 💕.

Try the caramel or vanilla nespresso pods. Brew them as a lungo over ice and add frothed milk. So good!! The also have pumpkin spice rn!

The virtuo pods and classic pods are in fact different!! So it makes sense that yours does taste different than your old machine! I’m pretty sure your classic machine is more focused on standard espresso drinks while the virtuo has more variety on what you can do!

brooke, not sure if this will help you as i have a different coffee machine, however to make your shots longer on your nespresso hold down the button you would normally use to get a shot, hold it down until you think that the shot is enough. every time you click that button is should make the shot that size.. not sure if that makes sense but i love strong coffee and that usually what i do!

With the Nespresso machine, if you want it to be more coffee than espresso, while the coffee is brewing, you click and hold the button that you’re using (either tall or short) and then you can adjust it to make a fuller cup of coffee so it uses more water to dilute the shot if that makes sense. Also, when you’re buying the pods look at what they’re labeled as either Espresso or Lungo. The Volluto is espresso and if you get the lungo ones it’s meant for the bigger cup of coffee. I personally like the Virtuo machines better but the Lungo pods for the machine you have are good too! Sorry for the long explanation but that’s what I’ve found I like more with that machine! You can still do the frothed milk but it will change the flavor of the coffee

Even though you may not feel good all day (which is sooo acceptable and relatable), i still feel like you are so gorgeous and beautiful in every outfit and in every shot, and you just never look bad. Try one or two shots of espresso with a splash of maple syrup and some oat milk over ice for an iced latte. I have the original machine too and that’s my go to drink! Especially good with the vanilla and chocolate pods

I had an original Nespresso machine and NEVER used it. My husband and I just got a Vertuo machine and we use it all the time! It’s definitely way better and more worth the money in my opinion. At least with the vertuo machine you can make a cup of coffee or an espresso shot if you want! I don’t know about in the US but in Canada the machines are 30% off right now and you also get $25 worth of free coffee when you order a machine 😊

i have the same machine but i order the nespresso coffee pods from williams and sonoma's own line. it gives a full cup of coffee vs. just getting 1 shot of espresso and they have great flavors (vanilla, pumpkin spice etc). Target also sells Starbucks branded nespresso pods that come in the coffee cup size.

My favourite pods for those machines are by L’or number 11,12,13 but I don’t know if you can get them in the states. Best Nespresso brand ones I reckon are the black pods, or the stronger ones from the ‘Barista creations’ range. You can also buy aluminium reusable pods now that you can put your own coffee grinds in.

I just switched from the Original line Nespresso Machine to the VertuoLine and there is a huge difference between the two flavors... I actually prefer the Original Line because I make lattes with mine but the Vertuoline is more for cups of iced coffee instead...

Target has really good nespresso pods! I get the one called festosto and it tastes caramely and rich! I usually brew two shots then mix with some almond or oat milk
