The new kitchen Colour combination looks amazing. It has definitely opened up the space. For the counter top, as a temporary fix you can use contact papers until you get it changed.

@@namandbir just googled it, it's an adhesive layer of paper, seems like a good idea if you don't like your countertop colours but I wonder if they're good enough to be used in the kitchen, like wouldn't water, or accidental knife cuts damage it?

I actually prefer open cabinets because if i don't see what i have i forget i have it and never use it (or buy another one on Amazon LOL) so i take off all the cabinet doors 😆 Yours look amazing!!! So much better than the dark.

Countertops - temporarily, you can try marble peel & stick. Quartz countertop make a lot of difference, more than the cabinet colors!! We bought a house 8m back & we didn’t have budget to upgrade the cabinets to white or our color of choice, thought Vll paint but we upgraded the countertop to white quartz & it made an awesome difference, can’t explain in words!

island kitchen is good. But you can also change its base to white with tiny sparkle, what will go better with your kitchen paint. Overall its awesome.

Hey Pooja! The white is really nice but the blue doesn’t go with the countertop color. But I realise it’s expensive, so don’t worry. It’ll be your dream kitchen for the two of y’all very soon! :) definitely better than the brown though haha.

Yes changing the countertops is damn expensive so we will wait for that. But yes we did all this color thinking that we would get quartz in the future so i know it’s a mis- match till then 😊

plants are okay as of now... they will revive since summers are coming... give them sunlight thrice in a week atleast.... thwy will grow... snake plant and ZeeZee plant are very robust and don't die easily...

the blue cabinets make the kitchen look automatically old and outdated. looks like it was from the 1970s. But it doesn't matter what we think, as long as you're happy with it, that's all that matters. Love the updates

Congrats to both of you on getting DL 👌, life gonna be much easier now. Pooja last almost 26 years I’m Out of India, understand your feeling very well. But one thing for sure once you have kids, they start going school, you will bond up with so many cool new friends and eventually they will be an intergala part of your life too. Ofcourse you are gonna miss your homeland forever. My son studying his undergraduate at University of Toronto since 2019, far away from us, May be this is life only. He calls everyday and incase he misses the time and calls little late so many wired thoughts comes to mind. He will smile and tell mama I had class, today weekday 😊. For sure your parents misses you same way you do. Always be keep in touch with them. Life is once so live it to the fullest. Stay blessed always.
