Our school is not doing Read Across America this year. Our spirit week will be the following week, which is the week before Spring Break. We do a HUGE reading night at our school in the fall, with food trucks, and vendors, and it is incredible, just different.

I had a GREAT Monday on March 4! It was my birthday and my kids sang to me and a few brought me gifts/cards. 😁 Today, March 5, is a “virtual” teacher work day. Kids are off because of the primary voting. 👏🏻

I would love to know more about your reading block. It sounds like you cover a lot with Heggerty, SIPPS, SS, Vocab, and a lesson. How much time do you have? How do you break it down, time-wise, for all of those components? I just finished LETRS and one of our district's big takeaways was that our ELA blocks aren't long enough, so I'm always interested to see how others are getting it done! :)

I have about 80 mins a day for the reading part. Then I have another 60 mins in the afternoon for writing. I can definitely make a video on my ELA block break down for you if you’re interested. 😊

how did you make your letters for your letter board

I created a Google slideshow and just printed the letters out on normal paper and just laminated them.
