Those little faces at the end just stole the show! I love how grateful you are for your babies. I think sometimes people may get frustrated with kids and forget what a true blessing they really are. You never miss an opportunity to give them love and attention. I know it's not easy all the time. But you're definitely doing a great job 😊🧡.

This is a wonderful video to remind us all how food actually arrives at our table. I image there are many folks with no clue how fresh whole foods are grown, processed and used. Seeing the children interested in participating in the process is amazing. I look forward to your Sunday videos . There is always something new and useable that I take into my week. I grew up on a functioning farm so recognize the hard work involved and how your systematic method makes it look simple. You and your entire family are examples for us all to live , work and be well. Thank you. Have a glorious week.

What I love (and find comfort) about watching you: you are regularly thankful. You are thankful toward the symbiotic relationship your farm gives you (the compost); you are thankful for help from family; you have such a grateful attitude. Also the gift you are giving to David in valuing his baking gifts … no better gift to a child.

Jessica, after you powder the freeze dried hot sauce solids, use that fermenting brine to hydrate and thin and add into the hot sauce you made. Sometimes I will powder my odd and end greens mix into a jar. That mixed greens powder is then added to scrambled eggs, soups, spaghetti sauce, etc. it adds flavor and nutrients. If people want pumpkin purée, they can partially freeze vacuum seal bags with pumpkin purée and then vacuum seal. I grew pumpkins a few years ago and still have purée that I can quick thaw and add to recipes. Your family is a great team. I love seeing how patient your older kids are with your littles. It’s sweet and shows a lot of good character. You are definitely blessed. Have a blessed week.

Traditionally, marigolds of all kinds are used as decoration. So, so pretty & bright! Thank you for sharing your harvest season! 💗 Praying for a safe & empowering birth for you & baby. 🙏🏼

I love high fives from small children, they never cease to make me laugh! Every little one seems to do the same thing-they half-heartedly swing an open hand towards the adults hand and just keep trucking. They are like, “No time to spend on this nonsense, I’m off to find a new mission.” Cracks me up every time. 😹😹😹

October starts soup month. So for October all my soups are called Frankenstein soup, a little of everything. November is Thanksgiving soups...pumpkin, squash ectera. December is Christmas surprise soups. never know what you'll get. January is pasta soups. February is...all included. March is broths and whatever is still available from other months. And if April is still chilly...chili, bean, minestrone soup, stuffed pepper soup. Never gets boring with soup here. Just don't run out of crackers or breads.😉👍

Another gently paced, delightful video. Thank you so much 🙏🏼. I think of a home to be a shared effort, and a homestead perhaps even more so. I wonder if instead of being so accustomed to saying “helping me” when one of the children are pitching in it could make a difference in the atmosphere if it was also sometimes seen as “helping us” out. Or simply “helping”. After all, they are helping themselves and their siblings (and the animals! etc) as well with every task they lend an effort to. For me it weaves the togetherness and the sense of duty, adding to pride and love. They seem so eager to be included (at least what we see) and sometimes phrasing can have greater impacts than we realize. Blessings to your whole crew… ☀️

I have never canned pumpkin, only froze it, so this was so nice to see how easy it was! I grew some of my own herbs this year and wanted to preserve them. I don’t have a freeze drier, so will have to dehydrate them. I’ve been wanting to make hot sauce and we love Tabasco sauce, so this was super helpful! All of it! The kids are so cute and such great helpers! They are all learning so much! The flower garland is so pretty! I will have to try that one of these days! I love bringing the garden indoors! That soup looked delicious and so did those biscuits! Hope you all have a warm and blessed Autumn!

Wonderful video! I when dry flowers for decorations, Before O cut any heads off I let the plant stem sit in a cup of liquid starch for a couple of hours, the plant and flower soak it up and it helps to maintain the petal stiffness and color of the flower. Marigold make a great medicinal tea, but do look up the health benifits of them, always good to look things up especially nutrician wise.
