hybrid is really the move. switched like 3 weeks ago and i ain't going back. energy levels, cardiovascular health, face, skin etc. has improved so much. not saying you can't achieve that strictly with bodybuilding but the training, stimulants you have to take to keep up with the intense training, all that fucking eating i had to do to maintain 220+lbs just wasn't it for me anymore

yea ive been hybrid technically for over a year now! this has been my most intense stretch but getting deep into other side of hybrid, meaning the running and athlete style of training, has helped with my joint health and overall daily life. feels better honestly.

What are the main shifts you made to go from bodybuilding to hybrid? Curious what that looks like in practice for you.

@@KyleBowe I eat as much whole foods as possible throughout the day while focusing on the micro nutrients as well like eating more fruits/greens than before. I'm still getting my .85-1g of protein per bodyweight in. As far as the weightlifting portion goes, I still train like a bodybuilder but I adjusted my split to only hit one muscle group a day so basically a modified bro split (Chest, Back, Shoulder and Arms, Legs). On the days I don't lift, I typically run 2-3 miles. This alone has made the shift easier on me for the most part
