I got placed in Chungnum and now I'm concerned that I'll feel alone in a rural area and don't know much about it.😢

Not all of it is rural! There are plenty of cities such as gunsan, chenon, deachceon beach etc. You will make a lot of friends at your orientation who are placed near you as well and there's a high chance you willl have at least 10 other teachers in your town. The public transport is very good there so it's easy to travel to visit or make new friends : )

Thank you for this video, and for your video on ITA. I've been nervous about potentially being put into a rural location should I apply for EPIK. I wouldn't want to feel too isolated and alone. Your videos have helped allay these concerns, though the thought of being allocated a random school/location after orientation is still something I'm nervous about. It's so cool that you chat to local people in your area. I wonder whether I would be confident enough to do something like that with the language barrier.

The locals are very friendly and there are usually a good amount of English teachers in every placement and since it’s so small they teachers become closer! When I heard of it Donna I implanted this program into my ideas for my country Trinidad. Combined with Finland's three teachers per class enhances Trinidad's lacklustre system. Manifesto exert - • Imported foreign language French and Spanish teacher initiative - English Program in Korea (EPIK) and Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme, improve English speaking abilities in those nations. Trinidad and Tobago government will follow suite of French and Spanish teachers hired from worldwide to teach local school, that is PRIMARY, SECONDARY AND UNIVERSITY. They’ll supplement local teachers of those languages. Under consideration - Chinese language teachers. China as of 2022 on the verge of super power. In effect children learn three foreign languages on top of English from primary school upward. Teacher benefits include - free bus and ferry pass, respectable salary, no utility bill, bonuses for outstanding work, free housing, access to the universal health system, paid vacation (July-August), free flight to and from Trinidad and Tobago, orientation - where teachers will be exposed to various subject areas and activities related to teaching and living here, lodging and meals of orientation are free.
