It was good! Definitely more of a treat because they are a little expensive, but it was fun to try something new!

Homemade fries! Yum! I like that you are growing your own herbs. $3 a plate? Now that's how you save money! The duck looked good and the chili. Job well done😊

Definitely! I planted my first batch last year, about 50! So far they seem to be growing well, I hope they look as good when I pull them up!

Please share your bun recipe- are you using discard with soda and powder or active?

I'm so terrible at measuring 😩😩 i go by sight! I will remake it and post an actual recipe, but it is roughly 4 cups of flour, 1/2 stick butter, 1 egg, 1/2 cup sourdough starter, 1 cup of milk, salt?

Why do you like baking with duck eggs? Are they a little different?
@theworkfromhomesteader
@theworkfromhomesteader Ай бұрын
They have a higher fat content so they make really rich desserts! I was using them in my muffins for awhile when I could get them easier back home. Otherwise really anything where you'd use a whole eggs or yolks, I'd recommend a swap! Egg white recipes wouldn't be worth it to me since duck eggs are a little spendier.

@@theworkfromhomesteader I'm definitely going to try that for my next dessert!

Definitely give duck eggs a try, they are delicious! And I'm not sure which onions you're talking about, but I always save any onion scraps for bone broth 😊
