Yes but Tudor, such a boring overexposed brand.
@FoxV1627 күн бұрын
@@johnayres2303 I do like Tudor but I am starting to agree with you. They are taking on a more Rolex “innovation” vibe. “New colour-world ends”. I can’t knock them as a whole but I do very much see your point. I think it’s because for many they are still obtainable so people are happy to talk about them. But if they are going to. It should be in this style.

I will put my two cents in here. I think this watch pulls at our watch nerd-heart strings so strongly, because most of us would love to have had a Rolex Submariner No-Date from back in-the-days, when the Sub was a tool watch, had no date complication, had an aluminum bezel, and was affordable. In addition, this current Tudor has all the modern updates that we all wish one of those old Rolex Subs had come with. And lastly, there it is. It’s right in front of us. We can actually have a New, Old-Stock Rolex Sub for a “reasonable” price, brand new. We can maybe finally be the One Watch Guy we all envision those cool guys in the 60s and 70s to have been. I would love to have one of these. And Adrian, you are right that the “boring” black versions of many watches are the most popular. Why? Because they fit in anywhere and everywhere.
@meff2227 күн бұрын
yes, i agree with that 😉
@panorama452627 күн бұрын
I don‘t want a Rolex Submariner No-Date. I want a date on all my watches, like the BB Steel. Not sure Tudor will release a date version of the new BB.

Essentially it is a Rolex no date Sub, for half the price and available today to purchase. I actually prefer the bezel on the Tudor to the ceramic bezel of the modern Sub
@bobhob3527 күн бұрын
I completely agree with you. However I still believe a vintage or sub pre super case and ceramic bezel would be hard to beat. Also 1513 to 14060m prices are starting to fall and become a viable vintage alternative below the current model rrp.

Absolutely beautiful video,.. setup, surroundings etc… works so well 😁 and agree with you on the “bestsellers are often boring”, or we could call them neutral, that’s also what makes them work, and people don’t grow tired of the look over the years. I’ve got a black seamaster, and sometimes I would love that it didn’t have the “ red parts”… because monochrome is just a heck of a lot easier to pair with different straps and outfits. Like this Black Bay, even though I would like it even more with 20mm lugs, just got a lot more of those.

I tried this one today on the 5 link jubilee style bracelet. What a watch, it’s so good. Fit’s beautifully on 6.75 inch wrist without looking too big. The dial is so good, a slightly sunburst dial, with outstanding legibility because of the big hands and perfectly proportioned hour hands. I was blown away. It’s the modern vintage looking Tudor no-date sub you want. Also a strap monster

I seen this watch in the flesh and it surprisingly impressed me. I would avoid the riveted bracelet and buy the jubilee. What I realized is that all my favorite Tudor watches do not have faux patina. This new watch genuinely makes a Submariner look very expensive.
@brysoga26 күн бұрын
I think the watch looks better on the jubilee. I actually don't mind this watch but I do think this as close to classic Tudor as you can get. But the negative of that is that it's far closer to being a cheaper submariner than anything that's gone before it.

More of such videos please! PS: the watch is great, boring is good!

Adrian, you have hit a 10 out of 10 on the video production and on the new Blackbay 41mm monochrome. First of all this video is outstanding, you and Oisin are by far the best two on KZbin for a cinematic experience and really hitting the depth of field in your videography. I agree this is the best overall improvement Tudor has made on the 41mm and the T fit clasp is really well designed . The only encore from this video is maybe doing a side by side comparison of the Rolex 6542 GMT Master to the new Black Bay 58 GMT . This is an obvious homage to the 6542 with the small touches with gold and the slightly off red and black aluminum bezel that is oh so close to the old bake light dark blue and red bezel . That would be an amazing video to do a side by side comparison . Keep up the amazing work and honestly you are so much more jn your environment going solo .
