Making jam is ‘easy’ however using jam sugar is better for setting - it’s the pectin used as a thickener in cooking Perhaps add lemon juice - this will help I think When the jam is ready by coating the back of a spoon and running a finger down it so it creates a space Another wonderful happy video

Evie you need to get pectin to make the jam set or jam sugar with added pectin also put jars in heated oven to sterilize,plus if there are slows on bushes a cheat is frezze them to mimick first frosts and apple cake looks great

I had to look up "jam sugar" as I hadn't heard of it. (American 😂). Looks like it is sugar plus pectin, so using regular sugar would require adding pectin.

happy smiley sunday . clays and game are a touch different. i bet if you could shoot clays every week you would really smash em. dont laugh at evie . but is the gun kicking a bit and putting you off . kick eez pad made it so much less painfull when when i went. but the instructors will always help you. if youre tired. weak . not feeling good enough clay shooting wll make you struggle . plus you really need to concentrate and not take youre eyes off the target. i was told that im right eye dominant. eg. stronger than the left. but i always shot with both eyes open. its all maybe maybe. shoot better equals better you and better scores. go for it. another lovely mix from evie smiley videos. cheers lovely.

Made 20lb of gooseberry 20lb of blackcurrant jam same weight fruit and sugar small amount of water me being boil for about half hour stirring occaonally leave to cool for while pot in any glass jars with lids cling film on top to seal cool and set and screw on lids tight always whatcha the channel nice tidy well run farm

According to what you read, the recipe said teaspoon of cinnamon. I’m pretty sure you used a desert spoon, so yes it was a lot. 😧
