So exciting to be planning your wedding I loved planning mine all those years ago gosh 25 years ago! We didn’t have a lot of money so I had to be resourceful we booked a whole cafe that had an art gallery above it we got married in the gallery and had the reception in the cafe it was so awesome just a big buffet table of food and guests just sat anywhere at the cafe tables. Then back upstairs for some dancing afterwards. Our friends and family still talk about it as being one of the best weddings they had been too. Was not as expensive as hiring 2 venues or a dedicated wedding venue. The other savings I made was dressing myself my bridesmaid and flower girl in vintage dresses and I found that when you rang up for prices on things just saying special occasion rather than it being for a wedding knocked dollars off especially the wedding cake I was looking at paying $300 for a wedding cake but in the end paid 120 for an amazing special occasion cake from the same place might I add and my girlfriend added some fresh flowers and ribbon to it. Looked amazing and tasted delicious 😎 The final thing was my flowers I went to a florist I knew always had lovely flowers on the morning of my wedding picked out 3 bouquets of what she had in stock added ribbon when I got home. I hope you get great joy from the experience as I did it was a wonderful day for my husband and me one I’ll never forget.
