Weekend Diary: 7AM Relaxing Morning at Home Baking an Apple Strudel | Peaceful Routine

Hi there, Thank you so much for the wonderful comments!❤ Since I have so many questions about the apple strudel recipe I share it below. Have a great weekend!☀ For 2 small apple strudels like in the movie or 1 big one: Dough 250 gr flour (for elastic dough / high in protein - if in doubt let rest in the refrigerator overnight) 1 tb of vegetable oil 125 ml lukewarm water 1 pinch of salt 1 Egg For the filling 80 g of butter 80 g breadcrumbs and/or ground nuts to take up the apple juice 1 lemon (optional to keep the apples from turning yellow) 4-5 apples (sweet-sour) Raisins to taste 60 g sugar 1 tbsp cinnamon 30 g Sliced almonds Icing sugar for on top Bake at 175°C with circulating air for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.🍨 Enjoy! Saskia🌸

Liebe Saskia! Ich freue mich sehr, dass euer Wunsch nach einem Kind doch noch in Erfüllung geht. Und es ist schön, dass es dir nun in deiner Schwangerschaft offenbar gut geht. Auch ich habe längere Zeit darauf warten müssen und kann rückblickend sagen, dass es eine aufregende, aber schöne Zeit war. Der Apfelstrudel ist perfekt geworden! Ich wünsche dir ein schönes Wochenende! Bei uns in Wien ist es noch ein letztes Mal sehr warm mit Temperaturen über 30 Grad. Nach diesem endlos heißen und trockenen Sommer (zumindest bei uns) kann von mir aus gerne der Herbst kommen.

how nice I want to buy the camera you entered in the description. I ask you, when you record videos inside the house, do you use the ND FILTER inside the house too? Thank you

You won’t regret this camera. I am every time amazed by the quality of the pictures. I also love using the ND filter as it saves me a lot of time adjusting the light. I never take the ND filter off. It is always on my camera (also inside), plus it protects my camera lens. Good luck, you won’t be disappointed😊

Congratulations to you and your husband and extended family; are you going to get to be a stay at home mom or will you need to continue flying? My husband and his family are from Belgium, but there’s something about the Netherlands and its people that seem very American in so many ways. It seems nearly everyone can speak English fluently and at least your home, appears very much like a newly built home in the States. Of course because we are so spread out we drive everywhere; any bike riders you see are doing it strictly for exercise. I am especially fond of your at home videos; you have a beautiful home and of course, being a cat person myself, I love your kitties. ❤🐱

I'm lucky because KLM lets you choose how much you want to work and whether you want to work on the ground if that is better for the baby. You might be right about the Dutch being more American. We have a lot of English language and American TV programmes. Only children's programmes get dubbed, so it's easy for everyone to learn English to a certain extend. Have a good week! 🌸

Thank you - here it is: For 2 small apfelstrudels or 1 big one Dough: 250 gr flour (for elastic dough / high in protein / if not sure let it rest overnight in the refrigerator) 1 tb of vegetable oil 125 ml lukewarm water 1 pinch of salt 1 Egg For the filling: 80 g of butter 80 g breadcrumbs and/or ground nuts to take up the apple juice 1 lemon (optional to keep the apples from turning yellow) 4-5 apples (sweet-sour are best) Raisins to taste 60 g sugar 1 tbsp cinnamon 30 g Sliced almonds Icing sugar for on top Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Enjoy!
