I’ve been dealing with shame issues lately and yes, shame is very powerful. And I seem to be flip-flopping between mostly feeling alone and kind of stuck in self-pity about that, but occasionally feeling like it’s nice to be on my own, and I’m becoming a little more comfortable with it. Not that I haven’t been alone before because I have, but after you’ve had someone actually nurture you for once, you miss it! Thank you, Gemma and I hope you have a great weekend. 💕💕

I'm in very much the same place; I also lost my life partner and I've entered the senior years with less than good grace. Too much reflection on past mistakes on the one hand and self-pity yes indeed for that which is irrevocably lost. But there's something about celebrating the little things that is really helpful; I make a terrible fuss of my dog and those long walks are wonderful, especially now where I am with that blaze of autumn in the air. Omg! Gemma my daughter was in a 3 car accident last night. She walked away fairly unscathed😮😢❤ they charged her with careless driving even tho she had the right of way! Many witnesses said the signals were all wrong!!! Pluto going direct??? She builds swimming pools and needs her vehicle but it is a right off. Need more angelic help!!!!❤❤❤❤

This reading was really deep Gemma -- I remembered vaguely learning about shame being the only core emotion dictated by societal norms dictated by the other invading us as you pointed out; guilt means, I did something wrong, I need to fix this; shame means I AM something wrong. I looked it up online and this is so true: shame prevents us from fully experiencing the other emotions; anger, fear, joy, curiosity and grief are all meant to move through us but shame keeps us in an eternal present binding us as you said in a sticky prison-like web. The whole reading was about breaking free of this, really powerful. It reminds me of how I had trouble moving past my last romantic relationship because I had taken on so much unwarranted shame and how free I felt when I realized that. Wow! Catharsis! Thanks so much as always, wonderful weekend to all❤❤🎶🎶 P.S. Many things are seasonal, true love is everlasting. I don't hold on to anything or anyone, but I notice that I seem to have to accept that I set my ideals too high and therefore don't achieve stability in relationships. But it wouldn't be that difficult, it would be wonderful. It would be fulfilling and rewarding. We could be so much more for each other and with each other, but we have to cultivate it within ourselves and really focus on it. Sorry I had to get this off my chest... maybe someone will relate.
